ASTEC provided a professional and friendly service in testing, confirming our aerial had finally given up the ghost, then returning the next day to replace it. It had survived 2 near-hurricanes during itís 40 years which had been strong enough to have bent the mast but I suspect that the recent wood pigeon invasion had finished it off as it has been rocking and clattering whenever these feathered 747ís landed or took off from it. ASTEC fitted a new aerial, mast, brackets etc. and did a superb job, with the added bonuses of fitting some vicious-looking bird spikes to the aerial and brackets and getting a far stronger signal than the old one ever had by pointing it at the Anglia transmitter instead of Londonís. So we now have outstanding reception for every terrestrial channel there is on every TV in the house ÖÖÖ.. and a clean patio (my wife saw the pigeon squadron next morning heading for itís usual perch only to do a last minute Ďaerialí manoeuvre to avoid impaling themselves Price quoted below excluded VAT

Not only did he advise what strength signal he found at the masthead with his own equipment but also showed me how to access similar 'layman's information from my TV menu which confirmed the need for a new aerial.

When pricing the quote he carefully explained the 'extra' items he'd recommended e.g. bird spikes & LTE (4G) filter.

He offered to return next afternoon with flexible timing to fit in with another job they already had and returned but arrived after just 30 mins into the time window he gave with his colleague Dave.

They completely the work courteously, tidily, quickly and shared the readings and decisions they'd taken; e.g. aerial direction, again at a technical level I could understand and interested me
