Replacing existing conservatory with house extension and building patio . Coordination and organisation of others trades from demolition to completion.

"From initial contact to final completion, John has been exemplary in his attitude and professionalism . The project was delivered in quote and in a timely manner which is no mean feat given the current situation facing the building trades . He was solution focussed and where decisions or changes required to be made he talked them through with us and made sensible solution focussed suggestions . This gave us huge confidence knowing it was the right thing to do . We cannot praise his standard of work , attention to detail along with the other trades who worked on this project along with him high enough . Removal of back garden slabs, sub base and laying of new slabs, edging and step area.

"John replied quickly to my initial email and came round to the house to see what we wanted done. On that visit he explained possible options, what work would be involved and when he could do it, if we accepted his estimate, which we received within a few days.
The job involved lifting and replacing the length of the back garden slabs. John organised the sub-contractors as well as working out the materials we needed to order. We were always clear on what was happening and never had any concerns. He was very informative, friendly and approachable - no matter how silly you think your question may be!
Between agreeing for the work to go ahead and the job starting, John kept in touch updating us on supply options and confirming a start date.
He was always very punctual and on site before the rest of his team everyday. He was very good at keeping us up to date on how the work was going and double checking things were as we wanted. Prior to leaving he cleaned up thoroughly and checked we were satisfied.
We are extremely happy with the end result, the quality of work and the expertise of John and his team. We have had lots of compliments and will definitely use him again!"

I wanted my small tiled fireplace to be opened up, cleared out so that the original space could be used for a wood burning stove. I didn''t know how large the space would be, or what finish would be possible but wanted the largest space possible for a stove. My ideal outcome was a brick interior and a slate hearth for the stove.

"John was recommended to me by my joiner. His communication from the outset was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. John worked well with my joiner and my ideas which were variable - so not the easiest!

The fireplace turned out to be larger than I expected and the rubble inside was cleared away quickly and the area kept very clean and tidy. We discussed the finish for the fireplace and John even sourced reclaimed bricks for me, and got them the next day, as the brick slips that I had brought would not have been suitable. The other materials were all sourced quickly so that the job was not delayed.

The stove was then installed. Again, because the fireplace was larger than expected, a stove had to be sourced quickly. John's recommendation of supplier was excellent and we got a stove for John to install so that timescales were not held up. John also helped the joiner to remove a window lintel.

I am delighted with the finished job and am very happy to recommend him to others. I will be using him again as well."

Remove internal wall between kitchen and sitting room

"John visited our house some months before we were ready for the work to start. He discussed all of our options and then emailed us a quotation with a breakdown of what was required and labour costs. When we eventually contacted John he was able to fit us in at fairly short notice which worked really well around us having our damp course completed in the same area of the house by other contractors.

John was extremely helpful, flexible, easy to work with and happy to explain everything, sharing his knowledge. We were particularly surprised at how clean and tidy our house was afterwards given the work that had been undertaken. Our other contractors actually asked who had completed the wall removal as they were very impressed with the job.

Absolutely no hesitation to recommend John - a pleasure to work with!"

Removal of internal wall and inserting steel beam. Brickwork and slate hearth work round fireplace. Removal of external and internal chimney breast and sort roof slates thereafter. Remove window and wall below in preparation for patio doors. Fixing flag stones. Replacing concrete lintels and sills. Slating outside steps. Laying patio.

"From initial pricing of the job through to completion the service has been top class. Appropriate advice was given and job was priced, work undertaken and completed in a short time frame. A new metal lid was fitted and cement mortar was renewed neatly around the lid.
