Norwich Flatpack offers you a local, friendly, reliable and expert flatpack furniture assembly service: whatever flat pack you need assembling, we will build it to the highest standards.

As a small local company we are able to offer a competitive flexible service exactly tailored to your needs. Let us use our skill and experience to remove the stress of your flat pack furniture assembly. We can assemble all items from a bed side table to a full fitted kitchen.

To save you time we can also collect your furniture from the store and deliver it directly to your home.

As trained cabinet makers we can also make you individual pieces of furniture, bespoke storage solutions as well as carrying out any other carpentry jobs you require.

Norwich Flatpack is a contracted assembly partner for the Norwich Ikea store.

Assembly and fitting of Ikea bedroom furniture.

"I have been remiss in not leaving a review when Hugh and a colleague fitted our Ikea bedroom furniture earlier in the year. The service was friendly, very professional and even accommodated some bespoke carpentry to complement the Ikea wardrobes. An excellent quality job from Norwich Flatpack.
However, what really stands out and prompted this review is that something like 8 months after it was fitted a problem developed with one of the wardrobe doors. I contacted Hugh and not only was it no problem for him to come back to solve the issue, but he did this the very next day on a Sunday.
Top quality service and highly recommended.

To assemble and fit numerous Ikea flat pack units, dining table and chairs and a bespoke kitchen island (also Ikea). My Ikea delivery had consisted of over 60 boxes in total. The kitchen island was a private arrangement while the bulk of the assembly was arranged through Ikea. The price shown is for the kitchen island.

"I cannot praise this company enough and would thoroughly recommend them.
Hugh made contact with me in advance of the fitting day to clarify any potential issues.
On the day, Hugh and his colleague arrived on time, were friendly, polite, worked in a very clean, tidy and methodical way, generally quick and efficient and easy to have around.
In addition they removed all the packaging which was a significant amount.
They made the whole process stress free and we are delighted with the results. Excellent value and quality of work."

"Having used Norwich Flatpack to assemble some Ikea furniture we were impressed with the speed and quality of the work. We needed a bespoke wardrobe for an awkward under-eaves position and Hugh designed and built the perfect solution. Complete with neat push door opening, interior lighting and ample deep storage, he created a really solid piece of furniture. Hugh at Norwich flatpack is an expert carpenter and can turn his hand to any job. A tidy, efficient and talented craftsman, reasonably priced. Highly recommended."

Hugh was commissioned by Ikea to assemble 5 large items of flat pack furniture at our apartment in Norwich.

"He was quick ,efficient and polite ,he also took away all of the packaging which was a tremendous help & we were delighted with the work he did in a short space of time .We have recommended using this service in Norwich to friends as assembling flat pack furniture is a nightmare for most people.We would definitely use your company again,Hugh in particular .
The cost of the service was paid directly to Ikea as a percentage of the cost of the furniture

Excellent,good value for money an absolute must to make life simple.

"I have used Norwich Flatpack to make various bits of fitted furniture during the last two years and been delighted with the results. They provided help with design solutions for awkward spaces meaning that the furniture precisely fits my needs.

Work has beeen done to exactly the promised schedule and cost and Hugh is very easy to deal with and communicates with great clarity.

Install two IKEA flat pack wardrobes including corner section (first Hugh had put together in the new configuration), fittings and attaching to the walls for safety.

"Hugh and his collegue were prompt, tidy, (took their shoes off as we had new carpets), polite, friendly and removed all packaging. They worked solidly for about 2&1/2 hrs only accepting one cup of tea which was drunk as they worked.

I would highly recommend Norwich Flatpack and would definitely use them again as they made the whole job very simple and stress free which, as a disabled person, i thoroughly appreciate."

Fitted Ikea bedroom wardrobe

"This company came to fitted an Ikea cupboard and it was arranged and paid for by Ikea. However The size of the cupboard was slightly higher than expected for the room. The fitter explained that he could fit it but there would be a slight gap between cupboard and bedroom wall. He explained that we could return it and ask for a smaller unit. We discussed it with him and he said that in his opinion we would not notice too much difference if he fitted it and it would look good. Once he started work he was efficient and effective. It looks really good as shown on the picture. He left everything clean and tidy. Although this cupboard is supplied as DIY I am glad I choose to use the company to do the work rather than try it myself."

Ikea recommended firm - independent contractor. Date and time confirmed by email - and timings kept to throughout work. Assembled three sets of double wardrobes. Some had different drawer sets and some were full length. Consulted well and fully on all options within the erection process. A minor problem with lights supplied by Ikea was spotted and dealt with (Ikea sent a replacement and worker returned a few days later to complete tasks). Cleaned up well at end of job and all packaging removed. A good job well done

"Ikea recommended contractor. Timings confirmed by email (I also confirmed that Ikea had delivered the order on time). Arrived within specified time frame and worked hard and efficiently to complete the work properly and effectively within time specified.
Checked with me on all options and carried out instructions fully.
e.g. spacing of wardrobes along a wall; e.g. how different wardrobe doors were to be mixed within the design; e.g. how different drawer mixes were to be fitted into the various wardrobes.
When a minor problem arose over the lights Ikea had supplied - this was dealt with effectively (Ikea sent replacements and worker returned within few days to fit these - all within contract price)
Cleared up well and all packaging etc removed at end of job.
An excellent job well done.
No hesitation in recommending this contractor."

"Usually put this stuff together myself but this was a particularly complex assembly so hence needed help. Norwich Flatpack turned up on time and delivered a quality outcome. Hugh put a stair bannister up and around a difficult bend.

"Hugh came a week before to assess and give us a quote for the job. We discussed the type of bannister and type of brackets we would like. We arranged a date and time he would do the job. He turned up on time etc. He protected the carpets etc. He was very professional and friendly. We had minimal disruption. The bannister looked very nice especially were he had to make many joins to get round, the bend. I was very pleased with the overall effect. It looked like a work of art. Hugh cleaned up after he had finished and ensured we were happy with the job, which we were. I would have no hesitation in using him again or recommending him to friends."
