It has been set up to help consumers choose reputable tradesmen to carry out work in their homes. Businesses that have joined the scheme have been fully vetted by Durham County Council Trading Standards Service and have satisfied the rigorous audit procedure.

Members adhere to a Code of Practice and Referenceline offers a consumer survey so that customers can give their ratings and reviews about member businesses.
