Four Bed Dormer Bungalow on a plot of 40X200 foot in Woolston Southampton

"We initially had contact with Mr Phil Mitchell who valued the property (as it turned out very sensibly) for the reasons of Probate, however we did not initially take up Chimpeypots services, this we learnt at our cost was a very bad move!! We had employed a traditional High Street Estate Agent, extremely bad move on our part!! However when the services of all at Chimneypots were engaged the difference was evident straight away, pure professionalism in every little detail, to be honest the whole nightmare of selling disappeared, the work done by both Mrs Emma Mitchell and Lisa Shefferd was immense but they did not pester us with silly questions, they took over the job we employed them to do and done it Superbly, would I recommend Chimneypots?? Damn right I would"

We were selling a 2 bed flat in Bitterne and buying a 3 bed link detached house in Warsash.

"The whole team have been professional and friendly from start to finish and we never once felt pressured to make a decision by them. This made it even easier to make the right decision for ourselves.

We have been kept informed of the whole process and of any issues that came up.

Emma was always helpful but particular mention should go to the young girl that showed us around the house the second time. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the property which showed a great work ethic. As she was from the area where we were buying the house this really tipped the decision on which house to buy for us."

"Emma has been brilliant with both our sale and purchase, she has liased with everybody and kept us in the loops - especially through a couple of more stressful periods. We would highly recommend Chimneypots to anybody and will definitely use if we move in the future. One Bedroom house, good size garden with stream at the bottom, situated in quiet area of Dibden Purlieu, Southampton.

"Having sold my last property through Chimney Pots and experiencing such a positive experience through the 7 months it took to sell, when I needed an estate agents again, I only went to one - Chimney Pots.

Yet again, I cannot fault the service and care that I have received. For me I was extremely lucky that Chimney Pots secured me a purchaser within 8 days of the property going on the market, and in 6 days time my sale will complete, having exchanged yesterday - the whole process from house going on the market to completion taking 5 weeks 1 day - yes I appreciate I have been very lucky, however, I am in no doubt that Chimney Pots handling of my sale, has facilitated the process to be quick, reaching the right people and once interested ensuring they had the means to substantiate the offer.

I have received regular email and phone communications, if I phoned and the person I needed was not there, they always called me back as soon as possible without fail. At all times the voice on the end of the line has been friendly, polite and interested in me - even when I ramble on!

You get what you pay for and value for money Chimney Pots are second to none - you will not be disappointed.

Mid-terraced house, South Coast

"Integrity, honesty and excellent value for money are not phrases most people would use to describe an estate agency. However, I can happily ascribe those words to ChimneyPots estate agency.

There seems to be a suspicion about so-called "online estate agents", and perhaps this has been earned by some of the larger online agents. However, ChimneyPots are not your typical "online agent", nor are they your typical "high street agent". ChimneyPots seem to have found the perfect balance between these and have proven that it is possible to have the best of both worlds. Other online agents I spoke with offered an impersonal service and did not seem engaged with the local market. ChimneyPots have extensive local knowledge with locally based agents and did everything you would expect from any "high street agent" in terms of marketing, viewings and communication. ChimneyPots sold my property with no hassle in less than a week and achieved a sale price above expectation. Where ChimneyPots excelled the most though is probably in their after-sales care. ChimneyPots worked hard right up to completion day, managing buyers' expectations and communicating effectively through the whole chain.

The key difference between ChimneyPots and other estate agents is that ChimneyPots offer a service as good, actually in my opinion better, than local "high street" agents, but at a fraction of the cost. I literally saved thousands of pounds and compromised nothing in terms of quality of service. There is no catch.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending ChimneyPots to anyone. In fact, I would question why anyone would not consider marketing their property through ChimneyPots - I will certainly not consider using any other agent in the future.

"Chimneypots Estate Agents were the second agents employed to sell our property, after 6 months with another agent with whom we were dissatisfied. They proved to very much more proactiveand we had numerous viewings. They found a buyer quite quickly but unfortunately, he had to pull out of the purchase due his buyer pulling out of his sale. Chimneypots had another buyer for us almost straight away. After some minor set backs this buyer purchased our property.

We were very happy with the service from Chimneypots, however, we would say that there were times when we had conversations with too many different individual agents, giving varying advice, which was unhelpful. However, after mentioning this,we were then given one member of staff who dealt with the whole process very efficiently."

"I found Chimney Pots to be polite and helpful. It was a bit of a slow start with not many viewings but I think this was mainly down to the time of year. Although it has taken a while to sell the property, it has been pretty painless. I did instruct another estate agent but Chimney Pots sold it for us.

It has run smoothly and effortlessly. I would recommend Chimney Pots and will use them myself should the need arise.

From start to finish, Emma and her team have been very professional and helpful throughout the whole sale process and this has resulted in me selling my property for a higher price than I was originally quoted by the first agent.

Even when my first buyer pulled out at the last minute, Emma and her team were quickly back on the case arranging new viewings and found me a new buyer within a very short period of time.

"From the moment we shook hands on the doorstep as I welcomed him to value my home I knew that Phil from Chimneypots was the estate agent for me; he was courteous, knowledgeable and open with no smarm or hard sell.
He explained their packages clearly and talked me through options available to me. We discussed the house selling process in details.
The attention to detail with the photographing/ marketing of my house was second to none.
The house was sold to the first interested party and I was kept informed and supported throughout the whole process.

"Only had one viewing in 3 months which was disappointing given the property for sale. Felt that after the first buyer had offered they kept other buyers away for other properties (which may or may not be true). Also felt that because we paid an initial sum upfront (as this lowered the overall fee), that the motivation to find a buyer decreased as they had already been paid (again, just our impression).

The initial draft wording was factually inaccurate in a couple of places. Also, left out key positives such as info about the location (key selling point) until we asked for it to be included.

Some photos taken of rooms without light on, leaving it dark in the pictures.

Key information I passed back to the agents was not passed on to my buyer, along with some dates when we couldn't do anything. Ended up contacting buyer direct.

"They were very good estate agent and well priced, they were competitive and helpful although there was one issue that was better solved by talking direct to the buyer due too miscommunication at the time they made the offer. I would use them again."
