Fife Trusted Trader Scheme was launched in January 2011 and is run by Fife Council Trading Standards. The scheme is designed to: help you avoid ‘rogue traders’; help you make a more informed choice when choosing a trader; promote good business practice.
The recommendations and comments made on this site are by customers themselves, who provide their feedback and reviews on work that has been done by member firms. Firms that apply to join the scheme must agree to adhere to the Terms and Conditions of the scheme. Applicants are interviewed by Trading Standards staff and consideration will be given to any history of complaints made against the firm.
Member firms shall be responsible for their work and Fife Council accepts no liability for any work done. Customers are advised to satisfy themselves as to the suitability of any member they propose to employ – eg. by obtaining references. However, should something go wrong, it is a condition of membership that members shall deal promptly and effectively with any complaint, and shall follow our dispute resolution process
