Major repair of gas boiler

"We have used Gas and Associated Trades for all our boiler servicing and repairs and also replacement when required for many reasons including quality of work and fabulous service - we would not go anywhere else and have recommended them to many people of the years. When quotes are provided they are quotes not estimates and unless the unexpected happens on a job, the price quoted is the price charged.
I cannot recommend them highly enough - if you need a plumber or gas engineer, this is the place to go! Thank You Mark."

"Mark installed my boiler 4 years ago and has serviced it every year since. He arrives when he is expected, gets the work done quickly, efficiently and with the minimum of fuss.

I asked Mark to fix a leak on my mum's kitchen tap and he sorted that again, despite the difficulty with access to the pipework.

He recently installed a gas hob for me which works great and looks great.

Mark provides a quality service at a reasonable cost. I find him very friendly and reliable."

We have several houses with room rentals for a lot of tenants in Dumfries and Castle Douglas. Mark has done a lot of work for us over the years, involving our gas central heating systems. This includes doing the annual gas safe inspections of the boilers. Sometimes we call with an urgent matter e.g boiler has stopped running. The work he has done has been very varied and has included some plumbing work as well as the gas heating work.

"As we provide accommodation for about 80 people, we need tradesmen upon whom we can totally rely, to do regular work, often at short-notice. Mark is one of these people and so has worked for us for several years.

He always arrives at the agreed time, very quickly if it is urgent, and he does whatever is required in a calm and professional manner. He is conscientious and highly skilled.

As Mark is honest, polite and good-natured, we trust him to work unaccompanied in our rental properties.

We have found that some trademen seem to charge an inflated price because we have big houses. Mark always charges a very reasonable price (on occasion he has charged nothing when I have called him out for a false alarm - 36 mile round trip).

He has become one of our trusted group of tradesmen who do regular work for us.

We cannot recommend Gas and Associated Trades highly enough.

Radiators put in 5 rooms and added to original heating system. Help removing both, plumbing in new washbasin and sink including bringing water on from outside.

Replace faulty inlet valve (or something that sounds like that) on the boiler.
 

"Fabulous!

I normally have to wait for hours beyond scheduled times for repair / maintenance deliveries. This man arrived exactly when stated, was confident and respectful and explained the issue in laymans terms and how he would fix it. Part was duly ordered and received on time and same man completed job quickly on time once again.

Left contact numbers and explanation of work carried out and made no mess whatsoever. I am delighted!! Heating and hot water have been fine since!

"Right from the word go I liked and trusted this tradesman he explained everything fully and clearly. The work was carried out to a high standard and he had to overcome a lot of problems that you associate with old houses. He is a very neat and meticulous worker who leaves the work area very tidy. "Mark was there on time for an initial meeting to discuss my requirement. His quote was presented a day later and detailed everything I had asked for. He turned up on time both days and got straight to work. I was left with heating and hot water on the first day which was really appreciated. Mark is polite, very efficient and very tidy.
