Moving from top floor 2 bedroom flat to 4 bedroom flat, split over 2 floors with no lift at either end. Included massive collection of CDs, vinyl and books.

"Fantastic experience from start to finish. Tony gave us a clear, very reasonable quote, Tamsin in the office was also very quick to reply and help us with any questions. On the day, couldn't have asked for better service - foreman Geordie and a lovely bunch of lads remained cheerful and friendly throughout, despite the move involving a massive amount of stairs with no lift at either end and a LOT of heavy boxes containing my huge music collection. Nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant."

Quicksilver emptied a large house for us including carefully wrapping some sentimentally valuable paintings. They then stored everything for a year. After that they delivered everything to our new home at the other end of England.

Moving from a 4 bedroom house to a top floor 2 bed flat (with 4 flights of stairs)

"Friendly, helpful experience to get a quote - someone visited and took the time to properly understand what we needed.

Wasn't the cheapest quote I received but they were more reassuring in understanding what we needed and explaining how they'd handle it. They also didn't spend half the time slagging off other firms, which some other people quoting did.

Excellent admin throughout - regular, friendly email contact from the office to make sure I had everything and to keep me updated

Both packing boxes and movers on the day were dead on time

Lovely bunch of 6 lads handling the move - obviously the amount of stairs was a challenge but they handled it all with a smile and a joke - I never heard a single negative thing the whole time. Nothing was too much trouble. Whole move was done much more quickly than I'd expected and was much less stressful than I'd feared thanks to the team.

Not the cheapest but well worth the extra for peace of mind and dealing with such a great bunch of people."

Full home removal from our old home to our new home.

"Our home move was made super easy and stress free with Quicksilver. The team were great, packing all of our items in the morning from dismantling beds to handling our fragile objects. Moved us in to our new home in the afternoon reassembling beds, mattresses, our sofa etc so our new home was fully liveable. The team were timely, very professional and the service as a whole was seamless. Quicksilver provided us with all the boxes we needed for the move including hanging boxes for clothing which was very convenient. Brilliant experience!"

"I was extremely impressed by the professionalism shown by the work men. Due to the awkwardness of the stairs they had to call in extra staff to help. Each and every member of staff was polite, friendly and so helpful. They made my move go as smoothly as possible. Simple move from large house near village to small bungalow in village. Packed up in the morning, pause for lunch, delivered in the afternoon. Workmen were both efficient and also friendly and pleasant. All items delivered as expected. They were well packed, and I found nothing damaged. The office staff were friendly and pleasant, and dealt efficiently with the changes which I had to make. Someone on your staff made a small error, and this was competently dealt with. Our only misunderstanding was when I didn''t receive (because I was in the wrong house at the time)the invoice on the day of the move. As I do not do online banking, I went into the office with a cheque. I felt that the confusion and need for me to act quickly gave me some distress. However, with good will on both sides the matter was resolved.

"Office staff were polite and considerate, and helpful when I had to make some changes.
The method of sending out the invoice only the day before the actual move and demanding payment that day caused problems. As customers are likely to be very busy that day, perhaps a different time schedule would be better.

I suggest: As soon as the signed paper acceptance of the quotation is received in the office, the invoice is sent out immediately. It could contain 2 extra sentences. At the top:"Please read this carefully and tell us straight away of any mistakes." In bold, under the bottom line, "This invoice must be paid in full no later than 24 hours before the removal or storage begins."

This would give the firm a little space to deal with payment problems. The BAR Advance Payment Guarantee reassures customers who pay early.

Moved about 35mins drive away, from a 2-bed terrace, to a 3-bed semi. Items included a bed, large sofa suite, tables, chairs, home-office equipment, art and glassware.

"Movers were extremely efficient, professional, and kept in contact throughout the process.
No faults, no issues, no breakage or damage to anything.
They had the house cleared and loaded up in about 70-80mins, and they unloaded everything to the designated rooms on the other side in probably about an hour!

We had been stressed to ribbons and panicking like mad for days getting everything ready for moving.

"Dean from quicksilver knocked on our door on the morning of the move while his colleague parked the removal van and everything was absolutely fine from that moment on. They made us feel calm from the outset and we knew we were in good hands straightaway. My biggest concern was the disassembling and reassembling of our 2 giant wardrobes but my concerns were needless thanks to the care and professionalism of Dean. Dean and Graeme were joined, when we got to the new house, by George and Liam and far from being stressed we were even having a good laugh along the way. I can’t praise these lads highly enough, everyone of them worked extremely hard but kept a great and friendly humour the whole time. With a competitive price and a fantastic team if you’re looking to move house you won’t do better than ‘quicksilver’.

The move was made as smooth as possible by a fantastic team and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them."
