- Code of Practice. These agents undertake to follow the Code of Practice for Residential Estate Agents, which has been approved by the Office of Fair Trading and automatically meet the legal requirements of the new Consumers, Estate Agents and Redress Act 2007 (CEARA). Referenceline conducts customer satisfaction surveys of OEA members that have signed up for this Code. Over 21,000 buyers and sellers have replied to this survey since 2003 and 90% say they recommend their agent.
- CEARA Only : OFT Approved Estate Agents Redress Scheme. These agents have registered with the OEA to meet the legal requirements of the new Consumers, Estate Agents and Redress Act 2007 (CEARA). Referenceline does not survey these firms.
- Lettings Agents. These agents undertake to follow the Code of Practice for Letting Agents. Referenceline does not survey lettings activity.
