Had problems with my old boiler. I called Strathmore Plumbing and David got back to me right away. He came out that afternoon after giving some advice over the phone. As I had thought I needed to replace the old boiler.

"I highly recommend Strathmore Plumbing and Heating services.
David came out the same day, give good practical advice and had a real genuine down to earth way that gave me confidence in making a decision.
He provided costs all in and fit me in quickly to fit the new boiler.
On the day he did a great job, tidying up as he went and provided a really great service. A friendly guy with good advise and work ethic.

Fitting a new radiator to replace an old leaking one

"David fitted a new radiator for us having to replace a very leaky one which was causing problems. We were very lucky that he was able to fit us in at short notice which we were delighted about as our usual plumber could not fit us in for a month. He arrived on time, keeping us informed when he had had to slot in an emergency job that morning, and he did a great job in a short time, leaving no mess at all and with a lovely working radiator. He was very professional and friendly and we would not hesitate to use him again. We would very highly recommend him to others."

Over the past 18 months Strathmore P&H have replaced my 20-years-old boiler for a new combi,replaced 10 radiators and capped off the gas supply to a defunked gas wall fire.

"All work was done to a high standard and left no mess on completion. The pump feeding the original boiler was exceptionally awkward to access, but Strathmore prevailed, (I had another local company look at this problem and was told "Good Luck with that" - and walked away!!).

Strathmore P&H gave me total inclusive prices for the three seperate jobs, with no 'added extras' and explained in detail the timescale involved in each process.I would have no hesitation in recommendimg Strathmore P&H, infact I already have - my daughter has recently arranged with Strathmore P&H to have a new combi-boiler installed soon."

"We a leak in our bathroom, David came out and promptly gave us a quote which we accepted. We got a new bath, shower, wet wall, new bath panel and associated plumbing. What a fantastic job with really clean and tidy professionals. Cannot rate them high enough."

Flush central heating system, replace boiler, add inhibitor

"I have used David’s firm before for Gas Safety work and have always been impressed with his dependability, work quality and costs.
I asked him for advice about a troublesome 14yr old central heating system and he gave me excellent impartial advice. Advice included a choice of replacement boilers and was happy to proceed with the cheaper option, an Ideal Logic Max. He gave me a time and date and price and stuck to this. As promised the job was completed without fuss and with the minimum of interference and no mess or waste. The systems are working perfectly. I will call on David’s help again, for sure."

Installation of combi boiler and flue.

"Strathmore plumbing and heating did an excellent job.
For me there is more to any task than simply carrying out an installation.
Attention to detail, good comms and leaving a tidy site on completion are all part of the job.
On arriving at property to meet David and view the install i was very impressed to see the worksite was in immaculate condition and the installation was absolutely first class, no plastic, wire, tails, loose items absolutely nothing and that is something you sadly dont see a lot of these days. For me it shows a high degree of professionalism and pride in the work carried out.
David also did me a great service by fitting in my job which was a bit of an emergency, sourcing a very good boiler and installing it within 24 hrs.
I am very happy to highly recommend Strathmore heating and plumbing.
Going forward i will use no other heating engineers.

New bathroom and heating installation in one property. And undertaking of completion of bathroom and heating installation of another property after another firm had let me down. Both requiring new boilers, new radiators to be installed and gas certificates to be issued And 2 bathrooms to be refitted

"I have known David, ( Strathmore Plumbing ) for a number of years and he has carried out work for me over a number of years . I was undertaking a refurbishment of a property requiring new boiler and reviewing present heating system. I had a joinery firm for other areas of refurbishment ( kitchen ) who wished to use their own plumber and suggested he do the heating and and bathroom at the same time . However, this plumber proved to be unreliable in approach. Holding up much of the other work - he was always busy on other jobs and further, although the neighbour was difficult under the flat being refurbished, this plumber did not seem to be able to ignore the neighbour . I called David to complete this work for me as was exasperated and annoyed . David is extremely reliable and trustworthy- he completed the job for me on time and stepped in undertaking a project started by some one else that is most definitely not easy .

He is able to provide other tradespersons who follow his lead and are reliable - . David then undertook another property I am refurbishing and hoping to move into - he completed the heating, new boiler and new radiators as well as re fitting and fully refurbishing a very old and decaying bathroom out . He did a fantastic job and always kept me in the loop about costs and prices . The issue is David is reliable , completes the job and does not run off doing other jobs , leaving you standing and waiting . His prices are fair and his work very good . Any issues one is able to call him back and he will sort things out ."

"David visited to provide a quote for the work, which he did very promptly. He agreed an early start date, which unfortunately had to be pushed back a couple of weeks as one of his team developed Covid, but he managed to rearrange his schedule to fit us in quite quickly. He and his team arrived on the agreed date and carried out the work to a high standard within the stated time. David and his team are very friendly and easy to deal with, and I will definitely use them again for any future heating and plumbing work."

"I first spoke with David on the Friday night and he came to my house on the Saturday to look at what needed done. He came back the following Wednesday and installed the new boiler. He had a plumber with him (Keir) and both arrived at the allocated time.
I am delighted with the service provided. David explained things fully before and during the installation. My new boiler is fantastic!

Diagnose combi boiler fault / replace combi boiler

"Boiler gave up 3 weeks ago on a Saturday morning I called Davie and he said he’d be here in afternoon, when he arrived he looked at boiler and explained that I could go down road of fixing it, but after what he told me what was wrong, the decision was made to replace it. By tea time saturday I had a price and they would do it Tuesday. On Tuesday Keir turned up on time and by 3pm in afternoon it was completed by the 2 of them. Everything was left as they started, couldn’t fault workmanship. Having just put heating on for first time since it was replaced I’m now seeing how badly my old boiler was performing! Thanks to Davie and Keir I’ll be recommending them to family and friends and I now have a reliable plumbing/ central heating experts to call on in future. Thanks guys!

I had a leak on an old pipe under the toilet sit. The leak had been there for a while until the neighbour noticed dampness on their ceiling. It was in a pretty tough spot to access but the team was able to quickly identify and resolve it. They also changed the toilet sit, all this in a timely manner.

"As said in the work description, the team did a really good job identifying and resolving the leak. They were also very quick to react all the way through, always got very quick replies and feedback. They also helped with another issue after the payment was processed.
