Installation of ground source heat pump in our new build house.

" We visited R A Brown amongst other heat pump suppliers and their heat pump looked to be the smaller one. When we visited the showroom they showed us the heat pump along with a buffer cylinder and some manifold pipes. However when on site they also installed two more expansion vessels.
When installing the upstairs radiators one room had pipes missed from it. This meant that the floor needed to be lifted on two occasions to rectify this.
When laying the ground loops the area within our garden was left open for about four months before being filled in. The paddock next to our property which was dug for the ground loops has had to be harrowed and reseeded as it was not left particularly flat after the loops were placed.
We are stil not that aware of how to use the heat pump. "
 
 
 
   Business Reply:

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. In our showroom we have a fully installed system showing all vessels etc. As with any of our customers the systems are specifically designed and installed to suit the individual house and circumstances, therefore would not be identical to our showroom installation. The expansion vessels mentioned were needed to provide the most efficient system for your home and would have been included in our original calculations.

During the first fix, we agree, a radiator pipe was missed, to rectify our mistake we removed some floor boards to install the pipework and replaced them with new floor boards. The reason the floor was lifted a second time was due to your contracted electrician failing to install a communication cable, so we assisted by removing the floorboards and installing the cable at no charge.

The ground works were completed by a sub-contractor, he has been back and sorted the backfilling of the soil after a miscommunication with your builder, it was not part of the agreed plumbing and heating work to re-lay the paddock and reseed.

With regard to your comment about not being shown how to use the heat pump, in addition to the user manual which has been provided, Richard our Managing Director and James our senior engineer and a NIBE engineer have all attended on separate occasions to show you the controls.

We are happy to come and see you again to talk you through the system and its operation. With all our customers we also offer a telephone back up service if needed.
