" I have given highest marks for every question which summarises my complete satisfaction of the move. The foreman and his crew made a very stressful situation so much easier, we were not adequately prepared but nothing was too much trouble. They were very efficient, worked steadily and rooms were cleared and then fitted up in the new house with surprising speed.

Not used them before.

Removal of furniture and belongings from a ground floor flat to a 3-bed semi.

" Removal staff were really unfriendly and aloof. They broke two items that we've discovered so far (smashed glass in a picture frame and they snapped a solid wooden cookbook stand in half.) But because these items were worth less than the £50 excess we had no come-back. It wasn't made clear that we would be charged for boxes as extras until we arrived at our new home, when we were presented with a letter with that disclaimer highlighted (I don't remember receiving the letter in advance, but if I did these extras weren't highlighted). The only reason I picked Robinson's was because their quote came in the cheapest out of the three companies I approached and my employer would only reimburse us for the lowest quote under my work relocation package. I now realise that the only reason Robinson's were cheaper was because they hid extra costs in the small print - so I'm now out of pocket. I now wish I'd have gone for either AH Tripp or W Cox, who were much more courteous and probably would have taken better care of our possessions and would have actually charged what they quoted in advance rather than hitting us with hidden costs. "

Business Reply:

We never like to find out that our clients have been unhappy with our service. We have written to our client to explain about the charges etc. and to apologise if our crew were in any way not doing their job 100% correctly. Unfortunately we have not received any response.

Our record with ReferenceLine currently shows that 98% of past clients would recommend our services, something that we are extremely proud of. The crew on this removal have moved many other clients and have never been described as being aloof.

We can supply cartons for owner packing on a hire basis, which are up to 50% refundable on their return. This offers a very cost effective solution to the problem of carton use. These same charges also apply to customers who wish to retain any company packed cartons on delivery and our charges for this are not hidden but are in fact clearly mentioned for our customers to read: (a) in a separate paragraph within the written quotation and (b) on a separate carton leaflet.

Our staff take the utmost care with our clients possessions but, as a professional remover, by no means can we say that damages never happen. Full insurance cover can be purchased with the move but any claims can only be paid out within the terms of the policy.
