"We have moved house twice in 6 months due to renting and waiting to purchase a property. Before this we have had 3 other house moves over the years.

From start to finish the service we received was exceptional, The quote as very competitive and gave me confidence that what was offered would be delivered.

The team turned up on time and were very polite and professional in their appearance. During the course of our 4 day move they were exceptionally helpful and nothing seemed to much trouble.

We moved from one 5 bedroom house to a slightly smaller 5 bed. we had lots of Asian furniture and art as well as a pool table.

"From the first telephone call to the last contact with southeringtons we expirenced an exceptionally high standard of service. Mr John southeringtons immediately gave me such confidence with his punctuality, smart dress and clear professional explanation of everything we needed to know.

Unfortunately for us, our move was fraught with difficulties, none to do with Southeringtons. It's times like this that you are so glad you have chosen a Professional company. We found Mr Paul Southerington professional, courteous, kind and as accommodating as he could be with our constantly changing move date.

We have had many international moves and although this was a domestic one, the team of men that packed us surpassed all of our expectations.
They were professional, courteous, efficient, careful with our possessions and very fast. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt that they enjoyed their work and did everything to a very high standard. I would definitely recommend Southeringtons. They are outstanding."

Moving contents of a 3 bedroomed semi from Melton Mowbray to the Hull area. Loaded most items the day before the move.

"We asked W Southerington's & Sons Ltd to quote us for moving from Melton Mowbray up to Hull in July. Their quote was competitive and they dropped off some boxes near to the start date. The team arrived to load most of our things the day before the actual move. The loading team were brilliant even packing a few things we hadn't had chance to pack. The next morning they returned for the remaining few items and drove all our stuff up to Hull. We got the keys to the new house just after noon and the lorry was unloaded by 3pm. A great all round experience from a professional moving company. We would highly recommend W Southerington & Sons as a moving company."

"Straightfoward move. No bells/whistles, but they were punctual and worked quickly. Some slight damage to the storage bags which they didn't inform us about, but nothing major. Receptionist was quite abrupt on several occasions and did not explain things clearly, especially when it was our first house move whilst in a chain. Had to read the contract very carefully to understand all the limitations and costs."

The move was perfect in every aspect. Most of our belongings, including garden furniture and plants, were collected the day before completion which left only our basic chattels to travel with us the following day. The main load was delivered the day after which suited us perfectly, allowing us to clean through our new property overnight.

This was a downsizing move in the same village. The total job took 3 days. The most challenging part was the movement of a very large potted palm. In the event a special vehicle was hired and. It went smoothly.

"southeringtons came to our aid after another national provider let us down. They took on the job at short notice and the move was exemplary. Since I have asked myself why we did not pick them in the first place. Probably the answe is to use local companies. They cannot afford to provide a bad service. I would recommend them to anyone asking."

Moved only a few miles down the road, but with a significant amount of belongings to move, including a pool table to the second floor.

"Excellent experience, made the move such a breeze. We had a team of 4 (5 on one day) and they were punctual, polite, efficient and cared for the belongings as if they were their own. We used Southerington & Sons because of a recommendation, prices were in line with the other 2 quotes that we received. I would recommend them to anyone who wanted a removals company, nothing was a problem and everything was done efficiently
