On the recommendation of family and friends, I opted for Richardson’s Removals (Stockton), as my chosen removal Company a few weeks ago. The move was complicated by my need to put my belongings into storage with them, and what initially looked like a two week storage period, is now looking like it could be a couple of months!

"I now know why Richardson’s came so highly recommended !! On the day of the move (actually nearly two days, as I had completely underestimated how much ‘stuff’ I actually had!!), the Richardson’s team were absolutely superb, handling everything with great care and professionalism … I was amazed at how they coped with the ‘last minute’ packing on my part, and nothing was a problem for them. As everyone will know, moving house is very stressful, and the Richardson’s team took away all of the worry and stress that I had - right from the initial booking through to actually moving all of my belongings into their storage facility. I have no doubt whatsoever that when I secure my next house (hopefully soon!) they will repeat the process with the same professionalism as the initial move from my last home. Eighteen years of accumulated belongings moved expertly and without any fuss at all … in just a day and a half … Brilliant service, and I have no hesitation in recommending Richardson’s to anyone about to move house (just don’t underestimate how much stuff you’ve got to move first!!)"

House move from Co Durham to the Lancashire coast

"Our move was delayed three times due to holdups in the chain but Richardson proved very flexible and understanding. We had arranged for Richardson to do the packing but partly due to the delay and partly because we weren’t sure exactly what would be packed we received boxes from them and packed several ourselves.
The day before the move Richardson’s removal men came, packed most things and loaded the lorry. After they left we discovered they had packed the car keys but they were very helpful, returned to our house and eventually found them.
The day we moved went perfectly, the van arrived at our new house before we did and everything was unloaded just before dark.
The removal men were friendly, polite and couldn’t do too much for us. All in all a great team.

The final bonus came when we received the bill for packing which was £400 less than quoted.

I would certainly recommend them to anyone moving."

Still in the process at the moment, full move taking place end of March, beginning of April. However we are using the storage facilities which are excellent.

"Superb overall service and customer care. Every one of the staff are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly.
Exceptional value for money, given the work and advice we have required.
The storage facility is secure and safe and a must have if you have a waiting time.

The Richardson’s team moved us from our farm on the North Yorkshire Moors, with a holiday cottage, into a temporary rental/storage and from there, three months later, into our new home. A mammoth task! The access and farm track required careful planning, smaller lorries and very good drivers all of which the team carried out with great professionalism. I did a good bit of packing using their boxes beforehand but wisely left all the delicate stuff for them. They did a great job, with no losses/ breakages and that included all my plant pots, some of them very big..Me large Camellia plant made it too! Can’t believe how they combine such speed with care!

"The planning and communication with the Richardson’s team was second to none. Efficient, flexible, patient and effective. They always swiftly responded to all queries, from first contact to the final follow up call.
It always felt that the whole team at the office knew our account and were helping to make the move/s work.
The moves were hard work for sure. The team were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, working so fast, but very carefully and tidily, our goods were treated with thought and respect. All of the furniture that came out of store was in really good dry condition. No damp or mustiness at all.

Wardrobes that needed dismantling and rebuilding, a sofa we had to be creative to get out of the house, changing move in dates, awful weather, all dealt with good humour and total commitment. We always had a key and the same contact on the day even if the odd member of the team had to change due to other jobs. Mostly we had the same team.

The removal teams worked very smoothly together even when challenges arose, and they did! We can’t thank and praise the whole Richardson’s team enough.

Fantastic company and the best value for money. Highly recommend and would never hesitate to use them again"

Moving from Darlington to new home in Devon . Richardson Moving were great over the two moving days , taking the stress out of that part of the process . The guys were fantastic on the day and couldn’t have been more helpful . Overall fantastic service .

"We chose Richardson Moving because they were very helpful , informative and the assessment visit by Josh very reassuring. Cost very reasonable and they were very good at estimating number and size of packing boxes required .

"It’s such a stressful time with so much to think about but the team had it all under control. From collecting the house contents, putting some into storage and delivering some essentials to the temporary accommodation, all done without a hitch and great sense of practised expertise. When we were ready the storage furniture was then delivered promptly and again with an experienced air. All communications were clear and timely. Last minute requirement to move furniture from top floor to enable re-wire to commence. All furniture removed and stored for two weeks.

"Discovered when the electrician arrived to commence re-wire of house that all furniture must be removed from first floor for access to floor boards. Phoned Richardson who immediately came out to view the job and give a price.

Richards handled a complicated move, emptying a house, with the contents going to 3 different destinations, at the other end of the country, and arriving on the same day. All done and finished prior to completion.

"I am conscious it was not an easy brief with a number of last minute changes of goods, and one item (a dishwasher) that could not be moved without causing damage to structure. They sensibly warned us of this problem, when it was uncovered, showed us what it was and let us decide how to manage it. The move was very well handled and all the attendant problems superbly fielded. Everything ended up where it should even though there were 3 different destinations. They gave good clear advice on what and how to pack up in advance, helped out with packing the tricky stuff, and all the fragile items arrived safely. Even though their arrival was a little delayed, they still finished on time. We had regular updates on progress at the delivery end. It was not an easy job and they took it in their stride. Great guys and we (all 3 consignees) would happily use them again."

It was all very well organised even just from my first enquiry. We had a packing service, storage for 3 months then delivery to our new build. We had range of household items and children things.

"I contacted Richardsons and a couple of other removal companies for a quote. Richardsons were the most through with their quote and explained everything to me clearly. We opted for the packing service and it was absolutely worth it. The guys who came were so careful with our belongings and were really friendly. Our belongings were stored for 3 months. When our belongings were delivered, again the guys delivering were very polite and friendly. They put lots of protection down and were very careful. They moved any furniture to where we wanted it and gave advice on where they thought things were best placed when we were sure. We would highly recommend Richardsons to anyone. "Fantastic company to work with from start to finish. Another great experience with them.
