Re-tiling of large house in Kippford

"Lee Glover and his team replaced the substantial and complex red clay tiled roof on our Arts and Crafts house in Kippford over a ten week period. In addition we had replacement of all the velux windows.
Lee provided a clear quotation at the outset which he adhered to on completion. He kept to his promise that a specific team would be onsite from beginning to end of the job. He and Davey provided oversight throughout the work period. Mark, his lead tiler, was very experienced and resourceful. The team were excellent communicators and respectful throughout the period with us.They worked in virtually all weathers and were present on every weekday. Unexpected problems were dealt with efficiently eg removal of a unsafe chimney stack. There was enough flexibility to add re-tiling of an extension to the job specification. The company has its own scaffolders-a huge advantage on a job like ours. They could tailor the scaffolding requirements to those of the tilers and no time was lost waiting for the different trades to complete their tasks. It was helped by their lead scaffolder Jason who, like Mark,was a very good communicator as well as being a master at his trade.
All Lee's employees were pleasant and approachable which went a long way to easing the disruption during the work. This was especially important as we have an autistic adult son who lives with us and finds change difficult. The team always considered his needs when undertaking any tasks.
We are currently awaiting realignment of a couple of finials which the company is undertaking as part of their ongoing commitment to us as clients.
We will not hesitate to use their services again and recommend Lee Glover strongly to anyone contemplating roof work - big or small."

To provide a cherry picker at a ste where an antenna had become faulty at 25m above ground. Work was to attend site and provide lift services to get to the antenna and assistance to the engineer when replacing the antenna.

"The whole job was carried out very professionally and we were 100% satisfied. The company were also very flexible when the originally planned date for the work needed to be changed.
Company provided RAMS and other paperwork needed very quickly.

Repairs to loose coping stones and replacement of missing slates on roof. Because of high roof its was necessary to have scaffolding at front of house and then at back of house to gain suitable access to the gable end

"Mr Glover paid a visit almost as soon as I had requested an estimate for the work. He detailed what was involved and provided an estimate shortly after his visit. This was in contrast to when I had waited for visits from other tradesmen for some time. The proposed date for the work was agreed and the detailed costs provided.

The work was carried out to a high standard and the staff carrying out the work were very professional. The price was very reasonable and there were no additional charges in the final account.

I would certainly use the firm again and have no hesitation in recommending them based on my experience"

"Very professional consultation with full explanation given, date to commence work discussed. The scaffolders were timely and professional. The roofers carried out the work in very hot conditions, they were friendly in manner and open to questions. "The flat roof was undertaken first and carried out promptly. Very satisfied with work, by friendly professional staff.
The main roof required scaffolding and the weather held things up a bit, but otherwise job completed in acreasonable time. Very happy with finished result. Would definitely recommend this company to others.

We had a roof leak because of an incorrectly installed lead flashing around our chimney. Lee met with me at our house, and was very pleasant and helpful in suggesting a solution. As our roof was almost 40 years old, we agreed to totally re-roof that wing of our L-shaped bungalow. Lee suggested rebuilding the chimney in facing brick so that a lead safe could be installed.

"There was a lot of hard work involved for his tradesmen, some days they work in windy conditions with flurries of snow. As an architect, I can say I'm well pleased with the quality of their work. His employees were pleasant and obliging.

Considering that all old materials were removed, and the amount of work involved - over a period of almost 2 weeks - I consider the cost was extremely reasonable. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

Having a large part of your house re-roofed is quite a major undertaking, and can be rather like living in the middle of a building site. However, things generally went very well, and the builder and the roofers were pleasant and helpful.
The finished job looks very good, and it it a great relief to have the roof leak problem sorted.
Value for money was excellent."

"Very professional from start to finish. Estimate for work was revived within a couple of days and work started on agreed date. Minor snags sorted quickly. Price was very competitive and great value for money.

Our slate and ridgecapped roof needed repair. Several slates and over a dozen ridgecaps needed replacing. The caste iron guttering and down pipes were rusted and in need of replacement and repair. A flat roof on our extension, to the rear of the house, needed to be re-boarded and refelting together with the appropriate insulation. The fascia and the plastic guttering and downpipe to this area also needed to be replaced.

"From the time of quoting till the job was completed we were entirely satisfied. The two teams of lads were cheerful courteous and always ready to explain what they were doing or about to do. They behaved at all times in an effective and professional way and when there was a small leak from one of the joins in the new caste iron guttering, the team involved returned within twenty four hours to tighten and reposition the gutter.

"Very happy with the whole experience. The job was started at the time promised and completed in good time. The invoice also came in at the estimated price - which was very reasonable price too. "I have worked with Lee Glover Roofing on several occasions. The projects have included two A listed buildings and two B listed buildings. On two of the occasions a complete re-roofing was required.
My experience of Lee and his team has been first rate. I was impressed from day 1. He was the only roofing contractor to actually turn up on time at the agreed time to look at the job.
I am aware that the people of Dumfries have cause to be pleased with the firm. The re-roofing of Militia House has improved the somewhat run down atmosphere of English Street.
I would be more than happy to recommend the firm to anyone needing roofing or chimney works.

Lee Glover Roofing look after a pretty huge expanse of different types of roof for us at Gretna Gateway Outlet Village, and we have been using them for a number of years now and are happy with the work they have done for us.

"We have been dealing with Lee Glover Roofing for a good number of years now, so know them well, and are happy with the work they do for us. We now have a personal as well as a business relationship, which helps. They also know what we need, and make an effort to cause as little disruption as possible when working here on-site, especially when the public are in the mall.
Routine works are carried out with no fuss or issues, and if we have anything a bit more tricky they will get the relevant people involved a.s.a.p. to come up with the best solution, even if it might take a bit longer.
I had a big job for M&S, which Lee Glover put as many resources on as possible to make sure it was done properly and a.s.a.p.
I previously had a serious roof problem with high winds causing damage shortly before Christmas, and Lee Glover's workers were still here at 3pm on Christmas Eve to make sure it was left as safe as possible over the busy Christmas period.
I know what to expect from Lee Glover Roofing, and they know what I need from them when they're working here, and I hope to be doing business with them for years to come, as they are dependable, reliable, and value for money."
