The firm has indicated its membership of the following bodies:

British Association of Removers

British Association of Removers

The British Association of Removers (BAR) Consumer Code of Practice has been awarded OFT Approval under the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.

"By successfully completing both stages, BAR has demonstrated its commitment to meeting our challenging core criteria and provided evidence that the code is working in practice. BAR has an influential role in the removals industry and its code is the first in its sector to be awarded OFT Approval. This is a significant achievement reflecting a great deal of hard work and determination to ensure high levels of customer service within the sector. Congratulations - I look forward to your continued commitment to the CCAS." John Fingleton, OFT Chief Executive.

BAR represents 650 of the leading British removal companies, and its members carry out around 80 per cent of all removals in the UK every year. BAR has satisfied the OFT that its Consumer Code of Practice promotes and safeguards consumer interests beyond the minimum requirements of consumer law, including quality standards relating to premises, vehicles, staff competence and insurance protection for customers.

Trading Standards Scheme - Angus (Reputable Trader Scheme)

Trading Standards Scheme - Angus (Reputable Trader Scheme)

The Angus Reputable Trader Scheme (ARTS) has been introduced with the intention of establishing a fair, honest and reliable trading environment. The Trading Standards service will work with businesses who are dedicated to providing consumers with a service that is fair and reliable.

The scheme has many benefits. It will help marginalise rogue traders, doorstep selling and addresses the problem of age restricted sales. The scheme will help lift the barriers that many homeowners face when making home improvements and will offer consumers a choice of traders who they can contact with confidence. The scheme is open to all businesses who trade in Angus or who have their place of business in Angus.
