Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA)

The Duty of Care legislation requires that all transfers of waste are appropriately recorded in order to assist in tracking movements of waste. In addition the regulations place additional obligations on waste producers, carriers and any person within the chain of persons handling waste to consider the manner in which they deal with the material.

The aim of the registration scheme for carriers of controlled waste is to assist in the prevention and investigation of fly-tipping of waste. Details of registered carriers are available on the SEPA website or may be obtained from any SEPA office.

Trading Standards - Fife Trusted Trader

Trusted Trader is an independent scheme run by Fife Council Trading Standards. Businesses signing up to the scheme must abide by certain terms and conditions which reflect their responsible and sensible approach to the way they trade and conduct their business.
