With the eligibility of former quarterback Corey Robinson and wider receiver Eric Thomas, the most lethal tandem in the history of the Sun Belt Conference, having run, Troy addressed its most immediate needs Wednesday. Headlined by quarterback Dontreal Pruitt, the Trojans, who finished 6-6 in 2013 but didn't receive a bowl invite, signed a pair of junior college signal-callers, a deep-threat wideout and a big offensive lineman. The 5-foot-11 Pruitt led East Mississippi to the National Junior College Athletic Association, throwing for 3,939 yards and 35 touchdowns while being picked off seven times to help his team post a perfect 12-0 record. They also added Iowa Western's Connor Brevard to the fold to make for what should be a hotly-contested battle for the starting quarterback position in the spring.Brevard threw for 2,555 yards and 23 touchdowns and was intercepted nine times s his team finished 11-1 mark. They'll both love Jarvis Bentley. The 6-foot-5, 195-pounder hauled in 49 passes for 502 yards and score at Itawamba Community College.Offensive lineman Ethan Hutson graduated from Ole Miss in two and a half years and will be able to play right away at Troy. He played in five games in two seasons as a Rebel.
