Long distance house removal which included the packing of glassware and china. Normal household contents including upright piano. Also included were a number of large and heavy items of woodworking machinery and many lengths of hardwood. Many large garden pots containing mature plants. An 8 sided greenhouse plus glass panes (dismantled prior to move) plus wooden garden furniture.

"Prior to our move from Lancashire to Aberdeenshire we invited quotes from 4 companies. We decided to use White's as soon as the surveyor had left us because Jonathan explained everything extremely clearly, taking time to accurately record the contents of our house in an unassuming but confident manner. This was most reassuring, and even though the quote was not the cheapest we received we chose White's because we felt that they were the most professional and would do the best job, which proved to be the case.
Boxes and packing material were delivered well ahead of the move giving us plenty of time to get organised, and our removal schedule was very comprehensive and timings clearly laid out.
The move took 5 days and from the very first time we met the team on day 1 to the final day as they left us we were more than happy with the care and consideration we were shown. Stuart and his team of Stuart, Vinny, and Eric were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, and they worked tirelessly to empty the house, garage and garden over the next 2 days. These men are consummate professionals and a credit to White's, but not only that they are 4 very decent trustworthy men and for the week of our move they almost became extended members of our family.
A nice touch was a telephone call from their office to check that all was going well.
On day 4 after travelling 360 miles north both removal vehicles arrived right on time at our new address, and with the minimum of fuss the team commenced to unload. Everything was placed exactly where we wanted it and again nothing was too much trouble - even down to the positioning of pots in our new garden, which was most impressive. It was lovely watching as the piano was manoeuvred down the ramp off the lorry with such skill and precision, and I was buoyed by Stuart's confident words of instruction 'let the wheels do the work' as he placed it perfectly in its new position. The same too can be said about the heavy wood working machinery which was also moved without issue.
Unfortunately we did suffer a small breakage to the lawnmower which Stuart drew to my attention. I felt so sorry for him as he took this minor incident so personally, and there were certainly no hard feelings on our behalf, plus the insurance cover which we took out will certainly cover the cost of the repair. In the big scheme of things and considering that all our worldly possessions had been packed into the back of 2 lorries it was nothing!
On the 5th and final day the team returned to complete the unloading which was done with the minimum of fuss.
All of this heavy lifting and physically demanding work had just happened around us.
Before leaving Stuart took time to complete the paperwork and he also physically checked every room ensuring that everything was to our satisfaction even asking if we wanted any of our furniture repositioning.
Throughout the move at both ends protective coverings were used on doors bannisters and carpets.

We were so impressed with the 4 men who each have a work ethic second to none. A respectful and caring attitude with attention to fine detail.
Were I to move house again I would certainly and without reservation be using White's and requesting that Stuart's team complete the job.
Moving house is probably one of the most stressful things which people do in their lives, along with suffering a bereavement or going through a divorce! The professional way in which our removal was handled by White's from start to finish went a long way to reducing any worries or anxieties which we had about the process.

And now the boxes are empty - We have just taken a call from the local White's depot who are sending a vehicle to collect them."

The removal team were punctual, polite and a very hard working and knowledgable team. Our possessions were handled with care and professionalism. Our end date was moved several times and our situation was handled with efficiency and moving dates accommodated.

Residential 4/5 bed move from Lancaster to York. Carried out over 3days including packing items from a large kitchen/ diner and Pantry. Other larger items packed and 2 large wardrobes taken apart and reassembled at destination. 3 bed settees and 4 beds.

"The move was from a 4/5 bedroom house with easy access in Lancaster to a similar size house with easy access in York.
The conveyor came as arranged, was polite and informative.
Packaging materials were delivered as arranged in good time.
Day one the team arrived around 8am and worked all day until around 4pm.
Day two the team came around 8.30 and packed the remaining items and drove to York leaving at around 11.00 and we met them in York around 2pm. They assembled the beds and unloaded other items.
Day 3 the rest of the items were unloaded and they finished around lunchtime.
Everything was put where we requested it, they were polite and used protective coverings on floors doors etc.
Packaging materials were removed once we had unpacked after a phone call.
We were very pleased and it went smoothly and we would definitely recommend them."

Relocation of approx 200 miles over a 4 day period. Furniture and possessions including a large quantity of books for a 4 bed house with a large garden.

"The initial appraisal visit was thorough and extremely helpful in terms of how our possessions were to be packed, and how the move was going to be organised.
In our case there was unavoidable uncertainty about the date of our move until shortly beforehand. Everyone was very patient and accommodating, for which we are very grateful.
We were surprised by the large team that turned up at the very start of the move. They were well organised, efficient and worked very fast. They were clearly highly experienced and also friendly and easy to talk to, giving us confidence that we were in good hands.
Due to unforeseen circumstances we were held up at home on the day of the move and arrived a couple of hours late. To our relief the team had already unloaded the garden effects and were busy moving our furniture and boxes into our new home. They seemed to know just where to put everything.
The team returned the following morning to complete the move and worked so well that they had finished by about lunchtime.
Overall our experience was entirely positive. The main stress of moving was taken off us and we are very pleased to have been looked after so efficiently by skilled people and with a human touch.

I thing the crew were challenged by having a van breakdown before they left my home town. Despite having to get another van and re-load completely changing their schedule, they were organised and professional when they arrived at the new address the following day.
 

"We haven't moved house using a professional firm, since 1974, so my memory and expectations were limited.
The reason for all the maximum ticks is that I thought the team did everything as well as they could.

The initial zoom survey was effective and easy. This was a long distance move, carried out in two stages. It went completely smoothly, with no problems and no breakages.

I have no idea how I could have managed a simple two day removal, especially as the vendors didn''t leave the property until the end of day.

The team packed my home into boxes with such skill I left a friend in charge and I left soon after move. They were on-site as we arrived at 8.30 and unpacked skillfully
 

"Kyle and Vinnie worked very well, I've never seen anyone move a wardrobe with such precision and preciseness it was amazing and they never touched any surrounding walls, doors, door frames as they bought it through the flat. The lads were very polite and helpful and placed boxes where they were requested. Everything was packed up brilliantly I had no breakages, plus items were labelled from room to room which was very helpful well worth the cost particularly the extra from packing, I had no stress or worries at all and will be happy to recommend White & Company to family and friends."

However Whites Lancaster (M King and staff) gave every satisfaction to us both on our move and also the removal of furniture from store to apartment. Nothing was too much trouble-totally flexible and a pleasure to deal with.
