Installation of new kitchen and utility room. General building work to reconfigure rooms.

"We wanted some work done on our quirky 1930s semi (with lots of attachments!) but were on a tight budget and so were not exactly sure what we could afford. After having great difficulty getting quotes from other firms who never bothered getting back to us, we found Inspire Build SW. Being a local firm we decided to give them a try.

What impressed us right from the start about James was his communication. He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. When he couldn't for any reason, we were kept in the loop. So many tradesmen are poor communicators but James is outstanding. He actually listens to his customers, which should be a given but is not always the case with tradesmen.

With a very tight budget and no experience of building projects we had lots of questions, thoughts and ideas. James took that into account and patiently listened to us, even when we changed our plans half a dozen times! I lost track of the amount of times he popped round for a conversation about our latest hair brained idea. It probably helped that we made fun of ourselves but I think a lot of builders would have been put off by our constant stream of question upon question and tight budget but not James.

When we finally decided what to do James went out of his way to ensure we could make the best use of the limited funds we had. They were very considerate workers who tried their best to minimise disruption. The work was completed to a generally excellent standard, in particular the kitchen and utility room which certainly don't look like they were done on a budget. The plastering in particular was outstanding. There were a few snags that possibly could have been avoided but in their defence, our house and requirements were rather quirky.

Price wise, some of the work seemed a little overpriced for the time it took, whilst others felt like an absolute bargain so I think altogether it balanced out into generally very good value for money.

Inspire Build SW are a friendly professional team who really do listen to their customers. It was very clear we were a "small fry" job for them but if they give this amount of attention to jobs like ours, I can only imagine the level of service a major project would receive. I have already recommended them to colleagues and would have no hesitation from doing so again."
