Removal from a four bedroom detached house to a four bedroom detached dormer bungalow approx 27 miles away. Partially restricted driveway access at the house required the use of several smaller removal vehicles.

"We obtained quotations from six different removal companies. After reviewing the services offered, Dominic and Sons were our clear first choice. On his visit to assess the removal, Steven spent time with us explaining the process and his advice was invaluable to us as we hadn’t moved house for over 30 years. Before the removal date was known, we made many telephone calls asking for advice and confirming availability. All our questions were answered professionally and we were kept informed when possible dates were no longer available. The removal itself was carried out over two days which made things less stressful. At the new house, unloading and rebuilding of furniture was handled very professionally. The move wasn’t completed until early evening but things were never rushed and our property was handled with great care by the whole team. There was no damage to any of our belongings or any breakages. Overall the team made the day much less stressful than we had anticipated and we would definitely recommend them."

We used Dominic & Son as our removals company for my elderly mum. She moved about 20 miles but because of last minute hitchs with buying and selling everything ended up being very last minute and Dominic & Son handled all our issues really smoothly and professionally.

Moving home after 15 years I expect we were a fairly straight forward case but there was still plenty of stuff to move and careful consideration was given to access at both houses.

"From the start Steve’s military and police background coupled with experience and a general attention to detail put us at ease. Moving was thoroughly explained including the pitfalls and all services insurances and processes were fully explained. When we were ready to book a date Steve knew how many days we would need and outlined a timetable for our move so we knew what to expect and how our chain could impact the move. The period leading up to our move was very stressful but wow the actual move was seamless due to these guys. Polite friendly engaging and so helpful throughout the 3 days. We felt totally at ease, nothing was too much trouble I just cannot speak highly enough of how good these guys were. Everything packed well and safely not a scratch on anything some top notch protection gear for tvs and paintings and furniture mega professional but also chilled at the same time. We cannot say enough good things about Steve Tony and Dave who helped us. Absolutely first class from start to finish"

I had a simple move involving very little furniture, but over a long distance (from the north of england to the south of england). However I had lots of quite fragile breakable stuff.

Moved from a 4 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom bungalow! Move included a piano. Major cock up by our buyers solicitor as the sale money was not sent to our solicitor until late afternoon, which involved the removal firm waiting round for 3 extra hours!

"The service was exemplary and dealing with the company was easy and enjoyable. Although we had a hiccup with the money, the remover was very patient and put our minds at rest as the day unfolded.
The whole team were smart and personable and treated our property with care and respect.
What could have been a day of stress and worry ended up being a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
I would thoroughly recommend Dominic and Son to anyone who is moving house."

"We used Dominic's to move from Doncaster to Beverley. The service was excellent from start to finish!
They took extremely good care of our possessions using specialist packing equipment, and before they started at both houses, they put floor coverings everywhere to protect the carpets and hard floors.
The removal men were unbelievably hard working, polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
We would highly recommend them to anyone moving house, worth every penny of the cost.

"excellent from start to finish. The service was exceptional from quote to moving. The care and compassion for our belongings in the house we left to the new house. The stair carpets were protected. Moving from one four bedroom house to another 100 miles away as soon as lockdown permitted

"Steve gave us a quote for the full packaging and removal service just prior to lockdown. He explained fully what was involved and the options available as well as answering our many questions. His advice was invaluable.
As soon as we were able to move Steve sorted out dates and times. What a relief! He also explained the way that his team would keep everything Covid-secure (at no extra charge).
The day before the move the team came and packed our stuff...just leaving the essentials....so organised and polite. Nothing was too much trouble.
On moving day we had very little to do except sort our pets and travel to our new home. Unpacking was so efficient and the team were really helpful...moving things to where we wanted them and even plumbing in the washer!Not a single item was lost or damaged.
They were brilliant....we can't recommend them highly enough!"

House move.

"I can wholeheartedly recommend. We’d had a really stressful sale with lockdown further complicating things. Dominic and sons were an absolute relief as they were so supportive and professional. They offered a “plan b” with no fuss when our onward property became unavailable at the last minute with their storage facility, which was very reasonably priced. In these strange times the guys were the next best thing to having our own family helping us during our move. They were safe, using ppe where appropriate and were careful with our belongings. "The move of 2 homes couldn’t have gone any smoother, everything was packed efficiently and properly. The 2 operatives for both moves were the same limiting any risks during these unforeseen times to a minimum. The 2 operatives were extremely efficient, courteous and did the job with a smile. We recently moved from a cottage with a barn stuffed with boxes, tools, furniture and more and a garden full of pot plants, strange garden structures and concrete furniture!

"In the past we have always hired a van and moved ourselves over he space of a few days, tiring but economical. However this time we didn’t have the opportunity of the time scale or the help from family if needed.
We obtained 3 quotes prior to moving and asked some questions of the prospective removal firms to gauge their response/attitude etc.
1 told me I didn’t need to empty drawers etc and they would have it done in 1/2 a day and the price was very cheap, I was told I didn’t need insurance as my home insurance would cover it, when I enquired as to what would happen if it didn’t complete he said “don’t worry we’ll come back the following day”. As you would expect I was a little taken a back, clearly they employed an unpaid army.
The next was Steven from Dominics, he came armed with paperwork and an answer to all questions and some I didn’t even ask! They had different levels of service which included packing everything if I needed it! He advised it would take 2 days to load the vans required and dependent on timescale of completion possibly 2 days to unload, he explained the types of insurance he offered and why but advised to speak to our house insurance as it may be covered to a point but beware of the excess. The cost was far more than the 1st but included 3 men and vehicles for 2 days.
The 3rd company was middle of the road between the others but again said he could load the whole house, barn and garden in the morning which we knew wasn’t going to be possible without the use of a army.
Although the cost was more with Dominics we enlisted their services, the original provisional date was lost due to “moving queries and questions”, but the day approached and the vehicles arrived and 2 very smart very polite men arrived to start the garden and barn in advance, then on the day they returned along with Steve, armed with floor protection, furniture covers, picture/mirrors bags, everything needed to protect the house for its new owners.
Using Dominics proved to be our best move, pardon the pun! They worked hard and efficiently, without issue but with care and respect. I had packed all the contacts and labelled their new locations, they advised If they thought of better new homes and at the end of the move all things were where they should be, this part of the move I can say went smoothly, they really did make things so so much easier, they were worth the cost, every penny.

Now our move is complete the service we received was worth every penny if not more. "Our experience with Dominic and sons was exceptional from the start.
Despite the country being in the grip of Covid restrictions , there was a telephone reply to my email enquiry on the same day.
Assessment of our planned move was logistically re assuring and a really understanding approach to my concerns and helpful advice was given, even before we accepted the quote.
After accepting the quote ,they worked well with us over our moving completion date and had a problem solving approach.
The professional manner of the team, friendliness ,excellent packing, all made this one of the easiest moves we have made in the last 34 years [ 7 in total].

A long move over 2 days, from Yorkshire to Gloucestershire.

"Dominic and Son were great. They moved my mum, who is 87 years old, almost 200 miles from Yorkshire to Gloucestershire in the midst of the COVID pandemic and it was as stress free as a move of that nature could be.

They took great care of our belongings and took our safety very seriously.
All the staff we had face to face contact with wore face coverings, gloves and kept the 2m distance at all times.

Mr Dominic who came to assess for our quote, Elsa in the office and Tony and Ben who did our move were all pleasant, punctual, efficient and professional at all times.

My mum and I Would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. Thanks very much to you all.

Same day move from one 3 bed home to another slightly larger 3 bed home 35 minutes drive away. Discussion was given regarding dismantling and rebuilding a shed. Involved dismantling and rebuilding beds. Re plumbing a washing machine and removing a very large and heavy wardrobe.

My mother was moving from a bungalow to a flat and we booked to have the whole home packed so she really didn’t need to do anything.

"The team arrived early and spent a couple of hours carefully wrapping and packing all her possessions. They were very professional, polite and friendly and made sure they were doing what she needed. At the other end they unloaded everything safely and placed the labelled boxes in each room for us to unpack at our own pace. We flattened each box and saved all the wrapping paper and they returned when we requested to take it all away to be reused. An absolutely brilliant service. Very friendly and professional. "So pleased we used Domininic and Sons. My parents are elderly and were worried about the move. All their fears were allayed by using a professional and experienced company, whose staff understood their perspective and made the process straightforward and painless. On the day we were impressed by the care the lads took and their thoughtfulness.
