Confederation of Aerial Industries

Confederation of Aerial Industries

About: Formed in 1978 the Confederation represents installers, manufacturers, distributors & broadcast operators engaged in networking signals to all types of properties.

Membership: We are different from most trade bodies in that applicants for membership have to undergo an assessment to check they can achieve compliance to the CAIís codes of practice & conduct which are recognised by broadcasters and government as best practice. By choosing a CAI member to advise or complete the work you require you are assured of competence & compliance.

Complaints: If a customer is unhappy with the standard of workmanship carried out by a CAI registered installer, or indeed is dissatisfied with an aspect of the job, and has been unable to resolve the problems with the Member concerned, the CAI has an official complaints procedure. The CAI will fully investigate any complaint that it receives against one of its Members and is empowered to impose sanctions on its Members if necessary.

National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (Domestic Installer)

National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (Domestic Installer)

The NICEIC maintains a register of electrical contractors, assessed every year by one of the Council's Area Engineers to confirm that their business and the technical standard of their electrical work complies with the Council's rules.

Where a consumer is not satisfied with the technical standard of an Approved Contractor's electrical work, the NICEIC offers a complaints resolution service.

NICEIC Domestic Installers are registered to self-certify domestic electrical installation work in England and Wales
