Conversion of existing kitchen conservatory glass roof to permanent tiled roof including three Velux windows

"Despite challenging weather conditions in October, a team of three (and sometimes four) from Skylight Fitters worked rapidly to dismantle the existing roof and to fit temporary weather protection, and then proceeded to build the framework to the new roof before fitting the Velux windows, tiling the room and adding the necessary insulation and plastering. The intensity of their work was impressive as was its quality, and the whole job was turned around in about 9 working days despite regular rain showers and a major adjustment to the specification as requested by us, which added 1-2 days to the schedule. Throughout, the team were friendly, professional, hardworking and keen to disrupt our lives (and our neighbours too) as little as possible. We were thoroughly pleased with the service delivered and the final product. 10/10 all round."

Replacement of three skylight loft windows

"The installers have done an extremely good job in replacing our old skylight windows and we were very impressed with the way they cleaned up at the end. Initially we were told the work would take three days and were warned the work was dependent on the weather. Along came Storm Francis. The installers did their best to get the work completed, which they did, in two days, the next day the expected storm hit. At the end of the job the areas of work were cleared of the old windows, parts and debris after which the floors were vacuumed before leaving. Well done and thank you Team Skylight Fitters!!"

"I researched on line before choosing Skylight Fitters and although I live slightly outside the area they work I was pleased that they agreed to do the job as their references were really good. My first contact was by email to the office and then by phone and the service was always polite, friendly and helpful. The initial survey was carried out promptly, the price was reasonable, and my subsequent emailed questions were answered within 24 hours.

The work was carried out in one day and the team were polite, efficient, friendly and professional in every way including using PPE when they needed to be inside the property. Floors were protected and everything was tidied before they left with all rubbish removed. The product is excellent and the work was finished to a high standard.

The whole experience was excellent with no stress and I would highly recommend Skylight Fitters. I cannot praise them highly enough and I would not hesitate to contact them if I required similar work."

Replacing 4 heavy conservation roof windows with Velux top-hung windows and blinds. The replacement windows were a different size so building construction and plastering were also required. The work was all done from inside the house.

"The team arrived on the agreed date, covered the carpets, moved the furniture and covered everything. They worked solidly throughout the day in tremendous heat, were very respectful and left the place clean and hoovered at the end of each day. Their precision and skills gave me confidence and I felt comfortable leaving them in the house alone. They took pride in their work and like us were proud of the end result. The work took 6 days.

The wrong flashing was delivered for one window so we lost a couple of days waiting for the correct one to arrive but worked around that. I had a problem a week after the work was completed not being able to close the vent. They called around 30 minutes after I sent the email to show me how to do it, which really impressed me."

"Our neighbour recommended Artin Skylights. They have certainly lived up to her glowing report.

The Velux Integra with infra-red control is ideal for our very high-ceilinged Victorian stairwell, simple to use and elegant to look at.

The fitting team (Arash and Hussein) arrived on time and worked hard all day, clearing all waste and leaving the place clean and tidy. They were unobtrusive, polite and good humoured.

From first to last, the administration behind the scenes was prompt, clear and personable.

Installation of a Velux skylight to replace a very old one, replacement of the wood in the well and make good with architrave.

"All through the process Arash kept in contact via both email and text where appropriate and was both professional and friendly.
The weather was freezing on the day of the installation but it was done with little fuss. Arash and his assistant were the politest people who have done any work for me which is so refreshing- no swearing was so appreciated.
The work itself was well done but Arash had to return to finish off - understandable due to weather conditions. I was promised no dust and that was minimal, they tidied up pretty well too.
The skylight looks fabulous and has finished off the room well and the price was very fair. I was a little taken aback at paying 70% upfront but they needed to order the window and frankly I had to pay anyway and for all the benefits of their work and attitude, it was fine.
I would definitely recommend them and thank them very much for being a pleasure to have in the flat, which is something I never say.

"A very helpful and efficient firm. They gave me advice on what was the best type of skylight window. "Skylight Fitters was wonderful from start to finish. We wanted to open up our kitchen but were unsure the best way to do it. An engineer came out promptly for a site survey. He listened to what we wanted and advised us on the best options. The team that did the work was professional and very pleasant (they even brought croissants for everyone one morning!). All of our communications, both email and telephone, were pleasant and questions were answered promptly & comprehensively. Replace window and fix leak

"I had a leak around a skylight in my bathroom. Skylight Fitters couldn't find the source of the leak initially so recommended that I replace the skylight, as they thought the old wood window (not ideal for a bathroom) may have been the cause. They fitted a new pvc window which looks much better. Unfortunately the leak came back, but Ali and his team came round several times, at weekends and at no extra cost, until the cause (a roof tile with a hole in) was found and fixed. They were very friendly and professional and I am very grateful for their perseverance and responsiveness. Thank you!"
