A handful of schools still in the running for Auburn High linebacker Rashaan Evans, one of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the state, will get a chance to make their final pitches this month, as Evans has set his final official visits. Evans (6-3, 220) is set to visit Alabama on Jan. 17, Auburn and/or Georgia on the weekend of Jan. 24 and, in a bit of surprise, Ole Miss on Jan. 31. The Rebels have not been listed previously among Evans' favorites of Auburn, Alabama Georgia and UCLA, where he took his first official visit in September.(UPDATE: that according to Evans' father, only the Alabama visit on Jan. 17 and the Auburn visit on Jan. 24 are definite. He is still considering adding a visit to Georgia or Ole Miss, which would presumably be on Jan. 31.)Auburn, which plans to play Evans at the Star position, started the process with ground to make up, as Evans initially said he was looking to get away from home, but the Tigers are now generally considered the team to beat.Evans, who drew raves from coaches at the Alabama-Mississippi High School All-Star Classic, was recently elevated to five-star status by 247Sports, but remains a four-star in the 247Sports Composite, which averages the ratings of all the major recruiting services. Here are some highlights of Evans from a November regular-season game against Opelika and Auburn commit Stephen Roberts -- who was at the time an Alabama commit: Four-star DE/LB Rashaan Evans helps Auburn High defeat rival Opelika 21-14 on Friday.
