Calhoun was untouchable, hitting 7-of-9 from deep and 11-of-15 overall, nearly doubling his previous career-high of 18 points.
Troy maintained a double-digit lead for the majority of the second half, slowing every Arkansas State run. The Red Wolves made a final push late, but the Trojan offense was able to keep par and slow the pace down, sparked by back-to-back offensive rebounds byinside the final two minutes.

As a team, the Trojans shot 55.2 percent (32-of-58) from the field and 51.9 percent (14-of-27) from beyond the arc. Troy's 14 made 3-pointers ties a Convocation Center record for most 3's by a visiting team, a record that had stood for nearly 13 years.
The Trojans got out to a hot start, hitting five 3's in the first eight minutes. Troy built a double-digit lead and controlled the game for the rest of the way.
The Trojans will remain in Arkansas to face UALR on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
