...helping you make a more informed choice

One of the most dreaded questions a mom can be asked is "What's for dinner?" Well, for the past year or so, I've been making a monthly menu so I don't have to worry about having an answer.I use a regular monthly calendar I found at Dollar Tree, but there are tons of cuter printables on Pinterest, like the one . Usually the end of each month, I sit down and take about 15 minutes to plan the next month's meals. Here's what mine looks like.I get recipes from my recipe binder, , or try to think of meals we haven't eaten in a while. Even if sometimes the months menus look similar or have a lot of the same dishes, at least they are only once a month and I don't feel as if we eat the same thing all the time. When making my grocery list each week, I just look at my menu and write down what items I need to make my pre-planned meals. That saves time and me wandering around aimlessly at the grocery store trying to come up with ideas.I also plan my son's pre-school lunch menu. My husband makes his lunch most mornings, so this saves him having to ask me what to put in it.I think just taking a few minutes to meal plan for the month (or even on a weekly basis) will really help you out when it comes to dinner time! The old saying a place for everything and everything in its place is my mantra. I'm a self-proclaimed neat freak, organizer, labeler and planner. Each week on this blog, I will be sharing a few ideas or projects that are helpful, easy and will hopefully help you simplify some things in your life.
