Florida makes for an ideal vacation getaway all year long. With a mild climate, beautiful beaches, and various theme parks, help make Florida a family friendly vacation spot.

But there is so much more that Florida has to offer. The state is made up of three regions; Southern Florida, Central Florida, and Northern Florida. Florida is home to a multitude of people from across the globe bringing along their culture and heritage. It is this diversity that makes Florida so popular among locals and tourists.

Northern Florida is often referred to as the Gateway to Florida. From the eastern part to the western part of North Florida, visitors will find a range of large cities such as Jacksonville to small towns such as Destin. The region provides visitors with a wide variety of outdoor activities that include hiking, fishing, snorkeling, golf and sunbathing.

Central Florida features a number of well-known attractions for all ages. Among the most popular are Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Disney World and Sea World in Orlando. To the east of Orlando is the ever popular Daytona Beach and the Kennedy Space Center a little further to the south.

South Florida is home to the major cities of Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Miami and Key West. These cities are renowned for their beaches and nightlife. Entertainment and the arts are featured throughout South Florida along with top-notch restaurants offering a diversity of international dishes. Miami is famous for its Cuban dishes such as ropa vieja (shredded flank steak in a tomato sauce base), black beans, yellow rice, plantains and fried yuca with beer.
