The latest visit was to install a moisture-sensing extractor fan, a new bathroom light fitting and an electrical point in the bathroom to enable a toothbrush to be charged.

"This is not the first time Chris has been to my house to do work. There is nobody else I would even consider contacting for all matters electrical. Yesterday’s was quite a lengthy visit for a comparatively small job but the supplier had sent him the wrong extractor fan in an incorrectly labelled box. Not Chris’s fault and luckily he was able to arrange for the supplier to deliver the correct one. This amazed me as I live in the fairly remote Roseland Peninsula area but the correct item was delivered. I’m sure most other people would have cut the visit short and rebooked me for a later time but not Chris.

He puts the customer first each time, is courteous and friendly. There is not a scrap of mess left behind and he works to the highest possible standard. I recommend Chris unreservedly."

A selection of jobs including: Installation of new down lights in 2 bathrooms Relocating a light switch Updating and repairing the boiler wiring and thermostat Upgrading and installation of new double sockets Replacement and installation of new ceiling light fitting

"Chris came for an initial consultation and to check out our needs prior to work. I was not able to attend but my wife did and felt comfortable and confident with everything he discussed and described. A plan of action was agreed and we split the list of jobs into two phases which helped to spread the cost.
The work ranged from installation of new down-lights and transformers in 2 bathrooms, to new plug sockets and moving light switches. All work was carried out cleanly and professionally and Chris was polite and courteous at all stages keeping us informed of any issues that arose along the way. Chris also went above and beyond and made good any plasterwork that had been affected while carrying out the jobs.
I have since had the need to call Chris back out for an emergency where I had drilled through an unexpected cable. This was in a weekend and incurred a call out fee, but he thankfully turned up within the hour and managed to rectify the issue, fixed the broken cable and again tidied and cleaned up after himself.
Chris is top class and I would 100% recommended him to anyone!"

"He reacted very speedily to our initial request. We were very pleased with all aspects of the service provided and the site was left in a very clean, tidy and workmanlike state. It is now a pleasure to open the access door to read meters etc..
The installer was very professional and personable. We would certainly ask him for help if the need arises in the future.

Rewiring,replacement and alteration of kitchen sockets and circuits; installation of a new socket in the kitchen and installation of under-cupboard lighting.

"Chris offered a clear quote for the work that we needed done; he attended on three separate occasions to complete the job, working around the kitchen fitting that was going on. He offered several alternatives in terms of switches for our lights and the type of lighting itself.

The job was finished in good time according to the schedule agreed; Chris is easy to communicate with, replies promptly to messages or calls, and is always there when he says he will be. I very much recommend him."

Gunn Electrical worked in conjunction with my Kitchen Fitter to: disconnect /reconnect existing appliances/isolators; relocate and replace sockets/accessories; replace downlights with LED options; fit- wall TV & aerial sockets, supply and fit LED strip under cabinet & under plinth lighting.

"Without doubt Chris is one of the best contractors I have come accross; an overdue discovery on our part, but someone who I have put to the top of my contacts list. Competitively priced, professional and wholly obliging, there is nothing he could do to improve his exemplary service. Other contractors present on my kitchen refurb were also highly impressed with both his workmanship and character. "Chris at Gunn Electrical was incredibly helpful in completing all the electrical jobs we'd saved up through lockdowns, we had a number of jobs for him (inc. fitting a new car charging point, installation of lights inside and outside the house and also a new kitchen extractor fan among other things) and he completed all to a good standard and within the timeframe agreed. Particularly impressed with my car charging point, which was installed with very little upheaval and mess! Even when Chris found that the kitchen extractor fan we'd bought was a little more tricky to install (we were hoping to install as external venting but unfortunately the joists of the house would not allow this to happen in the location we wanted), he identified this quickly to prevent structural damage and was patient in explaining the changes he'd need to make to guarantee a safe installation, even to someone who has little (no) building / electrical knowledge. Will use again."
