About Us

Our industry is swamped with Tree Surgeons and understanding the difference between companies is vitally important.

Firstly, our team has a passion for nature and trees and we perform closely, like a family business. We want to do the best for the living tree as well as the customer. Both my husband and I work alongside the team to ensure the best job is delivered.

Every team member is highly trained in Arboriculture, we are not Tree Surgeons but Arborists and Consultants. The training for these job titles is huge taking years to achieve. To be a tree surgeon you simply need insurance, a trained Arborist has been to college and furthered their training to learn all about Arb, as every tree and species is different and needs to be maintained in a different way.

Target Trees took out a large fig tree and managed to dig out roots that threatened nearby drains. They trimmed back a number of trees in the garden and removed all branches and leaves.

Removal of 7 large conifers & one large laurel.

"Target Trees were highly recommended to me by friends. The quote was the most competitive and most professional that I had received. The job was explained in detail so I understood the work involved. On the day the team turned up on the dot and got straight to work, felling 7 large trees to ground level and removing one large laurel & safely killing off the stump. The majority of the timber was cut up for me and stacked to be seasoned for firewood, the rest was chipped & removed. By 4:30 the work was done and the site tidied. Everyone was so polite and professional and I would recommend them without hesitation."

Remove old Lilac tree. Prune neighbours overhanging branches.

"We contacted Target Trees about an old dying Lilac tree. Quick response and survey, also gave advice about pruning a neighbours tree branches which were overhanging our garden. A good discount price was quoted for both jobs if done on the same day. The work was carried out quickly and professionally. The team were very efficient and cheerful, especially as there were a couple of heavy rain showers. Everything was left neat and tidy. We would certainly recommend them."

"We had a lot of trees around the site to be cut back and tidied. This was carried out efficiently using the correct health and safety procedures once the site inspections and details were discussed. The areas were left clean and tidy after the work was carried out. Overall we were completely happy with the service provided."

Felling of an old hawthorn tree that was decayed to the point that it would have fallen and damaged property, possibly cars and passers-by.

"Target Trees were quick to respond to my concerns that the tree was becoming unsafe. They concluded with their report that my suspicions were right, however interference by a parishioner who did not believe the report or agree with the decision to fell the tree, insisted on a TPO order being put on to the tree. This being after Breckland Council had agreed with the application to fell the tree on their portal. The Council, after issuing a letter to give consent to Target Trees to fell, started the process of putting a TPO on the tree - purely at the insistance of the parishioner. I asked the Tree Officer to visit the site immediately as I was unclear as to how a TPO could be placed retrospectively of consent to fell had been given. Target Trees were in contact with the Council and were supportive throughout - once the tree had been visited by the tree officer, the TPO application was halted and the communication received from the Tree Officer:

"The tree is very badly decayed, unfortunately I would not recommend that the tree is retained and can think the only option is to fell"

allowed Target Trees to continue with the agreed felling of the tree. I thank Target Trees for their support, methodical reporting and quick disposal of the rotten decaying mass that was once a magnificent tree."

Removal of trees at our industrial unit in Norwich

"We contact Target Trees earlier in the year to deal with the heavily overgrown trees down the western side of our offices after 1 fell over. Initially we met with Jenny and I must say she was informative and very knowledgeable and was able to arrange for their consultant to visit regarding a large willow tree. He explained about heave and subsidence and recommended a course of action. I must add the other trees were far enough away not to cause that kind of worry.

They waited until the end of the nesting season and we had a large team arrive promptly and work with precision and like a well experienced team. At the end we had a clean area to replant with a new hedge and new trees all of which will be carried out by Target Trees in the new year.

The transformation it has made has been great and we will certainly be recommending them to other businesses and friends.

Thank you for such a great job and we will certainly be using them again in the future."

Removal of 125ft + of neglected Leylandii hedge that had grown to 15-20ft in height and was interfering with cables and cast 3 garden into deep shadow.

"We contacted Target Trees in March to give us a quote to remove 125+ft of monster 15- 20ft high Leylandii hedge. Quote was done in person quickly and confidently. Work scheduled for 2 August to allow for bird breeding season. The team of three turned up 9am . Unloaded equipment and got straight to work. The level of safety equipment and power machinery was immediately impressive. Hedge was checked for signs of bird life. Three more colleagues joined the team in the afternoon and we were astonished that work was complete by about 5pm. Other companies had quoted three or four days work. The team were very friendly to have around and they cleared up really well. Our garden had been transformed beyond our dreams we have so much more light and we have gained 9ft width ways down the long boundary. Our neighbours are delighted with the results. Target Trees are proffessional knowledgeable in every aspect of their work gave us a huge amount of confidence and reassurance. Invoice received next day with clear and polite instructions regarding payment. We are 100% satisfied with the completed work and can not think of any areas that could be improved. We feel that the fee was very reasonable, fair and great value for money. We will be using Target Trees again the near future for a smaller job. Confident that the work will be done to the highest standard with environmental protection being of highest priority along with safety. We are happy to recommend Target Trees as the best choice for all arboreal matter. Thanks for giving three households new gardens,and all in one day."

Work included removal of: 1 Leyland Cypress 1 Cherry tree 3 Douglas Fir trees 1 Scots Pine Also, stump grinding and removal of overhanging branches of Douglas Firs from neighbouring property.

"We have used Target Trees on several occasions. Communication is always very good. When you call you may not get an answer straightaway but you can leave a message and you will always receive a return call. Equally, if you do not receive an instant reply to an email, you will receive an automatic acknowledgement and a reply later. You will always receive a response.

Once an enquiry has been made, Target will pay a visit to undertake a survey of the site, discuss the work to be done and give professional advice on how to deal with any issues. We have found their comprehensive knowledge to be very enlightening.

During their last visit we were particularly impressed by the way they dealt with an unforeseen event. Whilst grinding out a tree stump, the grinder accidently hit an unknown oil pipe causing a leak. The leak was contained by Target employees and an oil heating engineer was swiftly onsite to repair the damage; This incident couldn't have been handled better. It has to be said that the oil pipe was located unusually close to the surface and the accident could not have been anticipated.

Having proven to us that they are reliable, knowledgeable, hard working and good value, We could not recommend Target Trees more highly to anyone needing tree work.

We sadly had to have a cherry tree in our front garden removed as its roots were pushing against a wall causing it to become unstable

"Target Trees removed the Tree quickly and efficiently, logging the trunk so we would be able to use for firewood and chipping the branches for us to use as ground cover and mulch. The root was removed with a stump grinder and all remaining debris was cleared without trace.

"I needed a report about a bay tree in my neighbour's garden. The tree had caused significant damage to the garden wall between the two properties. It had become quite urgent as the wall is collapsing. Target Tree were able to do this for me at short notice. The service was very good, appointments kept, explanations given."
