Based in Blackheath, London SE3, we are a recognised professional mover throughout London and Kent and recommended by estate agents in the area. We carry out efficient home or office removals to both UK and international destinations, including travelling to France, Spain and Ireland. Furthermore, we also carry out export packing and shipping from our very own depot, and provide storage facilities with CCTV, monitored alarm and on-site security. From beginning to end, James Removals will gladly guide you throughout your move with our professional, hardworking staff, and modern vehicles. We needed a full packing, removal and storage service to be organised at very short notice. We have a 5 bedroom house and a number of pieces of art that required consideration. We spoke to a number of companies but chose James, based on their excellent understanding of our needs from the outset.

Contents of a large flat from North London to a semi Victorian in South London. Lots of stuff, including over 100 boxes of books, and loads of large artworks requiring special packing.

"These folks were great. The initial estimate wasn't too far off, the final bill was eminently reasonable, and the people were fantastic. Nothing broke, for one thing! For another, everything went where it was supposed to go, including what I'm sure were over 100 boxes of books--all handled professionally. Plus they came back several time to pick up the boxes, paper etc. I'm not looking forward to ever moving again--who does?--but if I do, it will be with these folks."

"We have used James Removals twice and they made moving so much easier each time. They gave sensible advice, made the day easier and at the end our beds were reconstructed, our clothes were (pretty much) back in the wardrobes, the plants were in the garden and the loft-to-loft items were in the new loft.

"James Removals were recommended to me by a friend and I was glad I listened to her. The whole process was very easy and personal from the initial assessment to the final delivery of my belongings to the new home.

All staff members were attentive to my needs. The removal men were extremely supportive and patient even though they had a very long wait before the final completion of the sale. They were very good at making sure all the boxes and furniture were placed in the correct space and they didn't moan at the challenge of a lack of parking space at Canterbury.

I am very pleased with the service I was offered. Thank you!"

Putting a 3 bed home into storage for an unknown period, and redelivery to a future, unknown destination and date.

"We sold our home without having a new property to move into so James Removals quoted to put us into storage. Having had a disasterous experience previously we had several companies quote for us and 'James' was not the most expensive, but they were local and managed their own warehouse storage. Also, they moved our stuff directly into the containers they would be stored in, minimising the risk of loss or damage. Due to losing several properties we had to be in storage for 15 months in all, but the staff at James were always helpful in extending the storage contract and when our possessions did finally return to us it came back in exactly the same condition it went in !!! Both the teams that moved us out, then back in, were calm, organised, friendly and helpful (except one, but the other guys ribbed him mercilessly about being a grumpy ****** and it made me laugh during a very stressful day). A competent, trustworthy company that will look after you during a stressful process."

Move and packing from London flat to Surrey house.

"From our very first contact with James Removals it was professional and smooth. We had someone come to quote the job for packing and removals who was well-mannered and knew what he was talking about. From the beginning we felt we were talking to professionals who would do a good job.

The day before our move, the packers came and packed up the flat and we were very happy with their speed and efficiency. On the day on the move, the lorry turned up bright and early and they had thought of everything. We had extra removal men to help navigate the stairs (top floor flat, no lift) and carpets were laid to protect the floor and there was no hanging around.

We met them at the house and were pleasantly surprised at how one of the movers manoeuvred the lorry up a very steep drive! The movers were happy to be told and shown where everything should be and if something was in the wrong room were happy to move it elsewhere.

We felt it really was value for money for the professional service we received. We would no hesitate to recommend them to family and friends and will certainly use them again.

The only suggestion for improvement would be to suggest that the movers stagger their breaks (and fully expect them to of course have breaks) and to just mention that they will take a break so you know you could be unpacking whilst there are no more boxes coming in at that point. Also would be a bit nicer if the removal men didn't smoke on the job, I understand they may have smoked in the van to prevent the movers smoking on the driveway etc, but probably a bit more appropriate for them to smoke off the premises during their break, however would still use them again without hesitation."

"James Removals were excellent from start to finish. Starting from the moment the member of staff madethe appointment to come and see me and sort out the details , through to the staff in the office who generated my storage invoices etc and ending with the team who packed and unpacked everything.

The quotes given were very reasonable. They took great care with everything from the largest items down to the smallest ornament. Everything was extremely well packed before it went into to storage for 6 months and there were no breakages when it came out. Cant praise James Removals highly enough.

It was a downsize from a 7 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom bungalow about a quarter of the size. The move happened over 3 days so the planning and execution was really well thought out and considered. Access to the bungalow was not stratightforward and a piano had to be carried up about 15 steps

"The company are professional removers and members of a professional body. Staff are regular permanent employees and they all wear a uniform. They all speak highly of the company as employers and genuinely seem happy in their jobs. They couldn�t have been more helpful or accommodating. They were good natured and considerate throughout, no bad language or �rough� treatment of our goods. There was a respect and appreciation of the stress of moving house which was really good. There was a damaged worktop and the company contacted me immediately afterwards and got it replaced and fitted. I really cannot compliment the company enough, they were amazing!"

Moved from a two bed maisonette to a four bed house

"We had encountered a very complex legal process to get us from one property to another, which had been extremely stressful at times. The move day itself was easily the least stressful day of the whole process thanks to the James Removal team. They were polite, very professional and efficient, despite having to wait for an hour or two between leaving our previous property and unloading at the new one. I also had a very professional and friendly service from the team in the office/on the phone. They answered all of my questions and were very helpful each time I informed them of the ongoing delay to our move date due to legal reasons). The move was delayed by just one hour because of the snow.

"The two removal men were efficient and friendly and ensured everything went smoothly.
When we arrived at the new destination they asked where I wanted all the furniture and items put which saved me moving heavy things on my own.
.they took a lot of care with my boxes.
I would recommend using James removals .
They were efficient and courteous.
Handled all the items with care and made sure I was happy with the service."

We were down sizeing,but the new property needed a lot of work doing,so were not sure if it would be a straight move or into storage.James removals were understanding and helpful

"No problems,each time I rang the office the staff were polite and helpful. We had two minor accidents,one chair was badly scratched, and the pendulum for the long case clock was broken, but both these things were dealt with without any quibble.The packing of my fragile items was well done, no breakages.I I got 3 quotes from different firms but decided on James,the decision was not based on price but on attitude of the personel"
