"We did quite a bit of looking around before selecting Wilkes Green and Hill to market our property, including viewing a few properties that we were interested in buying so that we knew what our potential buyers experience would be like.
It was really a very easy decision in the end, the customer service, professionalism and knowledge were a cut above all the other local competitors.

Our whole sale experience has been very smooth with them, despite a few hiccups further up the chain. We can't fault them, they have been very good at keeping in touch, recognising potential snags and working them through before they happen, and providing professional but personal advice based on our situation.

Gayle especially has been an absolute star, from arranging viewings and understanding our property to agreeing a price and keeping the sale moving, nothing has been too much trouble and its all done with such a friendly and supportive manner.
At one point we thought we would need to move into rented property on a short term basis to make sure the sale went through - without us asking Gayle & the team came up with some solutions in a very short supply rental market that would house us on a temporary contract with our cats which was no mean feat!
The other really positive experience we had was that Gayle was thinking of where we might like to buy whilst handling our sale. Obviously there is a commission benefit for them, but this was the only firm that actually presented properties to us despite being registered on mailing lists with all the local firms, and every property they presented was appropriate and met our needs. In the end we found something ourselves with a different agent, but we were very grateful for the care and attention that went into this, and if honest rather shocked that no one else seemed to bother to try to sell the properties on their books!
Gayle's experienced and knowledge was reconfirmed for us when I told her which property we were buying (ie, not the bit of business we were doing with her) and she remembered it from when Wilkes Green Hill sold it last time it changed hands, which was 10 years ago! Her recollection and the conversation about the property and it's potential was not only quite amazing but also very reassuring that we were working with someone who knew the market well and was very good at matching people and property, which gave us further confidence that our sale would go through.

There isn't much else to say really, we are hugely grateful for the help and support and will be recommending Wilkes Green and Hill to anyone who asks us!

"I have used the firm before but was very unhappy about certain aspects of the service this time. After the initial visit I was informed that photos taken of the conservatory (a major selling point) had been 'lost' but that when the other staff came to familiarise themselves with the property they would bring a camera with them. They forgot ! When details appeared on the website ( minus photos of the conservatory ) there was a spelling mistake - benefits instead of benefits and unbelievably there was reference to the property being in an adjacent road. What really upset me was the fact that they went ahead with a viewing without my knowledge/ agreement. I was away from home for one night and returned to find a message on my answer phone asking if they could go ahead with a second viewing.When I contacted W. G to apologise for not getting back to them earlier , they said that the viewing had gone ahead. There had been no attempt to contact me by my mobile. I had left the house in a terrible mess, have started sorting and packing. When I contacted W.G. I was told that the visit had to go ahead because that was the only time that the people could view due to work commitments. A very unsatisfactory response!
Fortunately the first people to view the house immediately put in an acceptable offer so no further viewings were required. A very easy 3000+ for W.G"

We feel that this customer is being a little unfair, we apologised for our oversight regarding the viewing, which was the 2nd viewing following an acceptable offer, we weren't advised that the vendor was away and were unable to contact him on his mobile therefore, maybe wrongly, asumed that a message would be sufficient.

We did what we were contracted to do in a difficult market, within a fortnight and within 96% of the asking price, well ahead of market trends.

We would also like to add that the our membership of the TPO is stated in our instruction letter, the logo appears on every set of details and on all letters we send out.

"The agent is well known to us as they sold the property to us in the first instance 11 years old. They have an excellent reputation in the town, Adrian Wilkes-Green is sensible friendly and helpful at all times and his staff all of them are likewise. Not over ambitious as far as thrice is concerned but sold the property within 2 weeks in the present market just as they said they would.
