Moving from a two bed Bungalow to a four bed house.

"From start to finish the whole team at Herbert Davies were fantastic. They were very responsive to any questions, they came and quoted quickly for the job.
We had to move the date multiple times and they were incredibly accommodating and understanding of this.
On the day they arrived on time and everyone was very polite and communicated the plan for the move clearly.
The packing was very efficient and all items were handled with care and packed well.

The unloading into the new property was very smooth and the team were very accommodating in moving items where needed when deciding which room and where they should go.

They took down and put back together our beds and wardrobes making the whole process much easier.

I would highly recommend them to anyone."

"Move went really smoothly right from the start of contacting Herbert Davis. Maxine in the office was always friendly and helpful to confirm arrangements.
On the day of moving the2 guys who came, Shane and John, arrived on time and were so helpful kind and thoughtful, nothing was too much trouble for them. very respectful how they move items.
When unloading at my new property asked if the furniture was placed in right place and moved furniture if it wasn't. Superb team who worked so hard and caring for all they did in moving my belongings. Made the day so less stressful. The guys loaded and unloading all by 1pm. Amazing team!!"

I moved to a much smaller house, I downsized from a 3 bed detached house with garage and shed to a bungalow with no garage and no shed.

"The two lads who moved me, Shane and John, were excellent, very obliging and helpful. They worked efficiently and without fuss, I felt very safe with them. There were no breakages and no dramas. I would have no problem at all with recommending Herbert Davis Removers to anyone. From the start when I spoke to Mr Andy Ford on the telephone I knew I was in good hands. Maxine was brilliant and always very helpful. They, collectively, made what is a stressful time easier. Thank you, all of you.

The only helpful thing I would recommend is that when packing paintings, mirrors and large items which need extra care in big cardboard covers it would have been helpful to me, once they had left, to have had what was in each package written on the outside, all the packages looked the same to me which meant I had to keep opening them to ascertain what was inside. Just a suggestion.

I always felt as if I was in safe hands."

From our initial enquiry, through the quote, booking and move everything Herbert Davis did for us was managed professionally, smoothly, stress free and with compassion.

"Herbert Davis were recommended to us by a friend who had used them in the past, the initial meeting for the quotation was carried out with all the relevant information supplied and quote was duly received within a short time.
Once we had a moving date we booked Herbert Davis for our move, unfortunately we had to cancel and rearrange due to a hiccup in the chain but this was not an issue for Herbert Davis.
Moving day came and a team of guys turned up, politely introduced themselves and started loading the lorry and before you could blink the house was empty.
On arrival at our new house the guys were waiting for us and had already started unloading the garden and garage items and again within a blink of an eye the lorry was unloaded and all items were in their allocated rooms.
Can't recommend this company highly enough they were superb from start to finish, ultimate professionals."

Our second move with Herbert Davis but our first was during Covid so this was different in that respect. This time we used the packing service as well

"We could not fault them in any way from our first interaction with the quote process to the collection of boxes and paper once our move was complete. Always polite, always calm, always good humoured and very very reassuring that everything would be Ok on the day (it was!)

This applies as much to "back office/admin" as it does to the up front removal team.

We would recommend them to anyone and will certainly look to use this company again the next time we move."

Long distance move from Gloucester to Scarborough. Moving contents of 3 bedroom house plus contents of garage and some garden items.

"It was a great experience. House visit and initial quote based on the visit was quick and explained what was included and timescales in detail. Prepacking was done quickly for us with professionalism and wit which helped the process no end. Likewise the day of the move went smoothly. The guys knew what they were doing and showed their experience and knowledge and had the van packed within 3 hours for a next day delivery. The day of delivery the guys turned up on time, we had a laugh about the hotel they stayed in for the night, and then they unloaded. We were told to direct them and �boss� them on where furniture and boxes where to go. Again all done within 3 hours. As we said, a great experience for something that could have been a real chore!"

We moved from a four bed house to a 3 bed townhouse.

"Our move was excellent. Two long days but they all worked extremely hard and I wouldn�t hesitate to use them again. The only thing I would change would be to request picture boxes. I hadn�t realized that our pictures wouldn�t be packaged up and that would have been really useful."
