Final move having considerably down-sized from 4 beds to a two bed bungalow.

"From the very moment I made first contact with Maidmans I knew our move was in good hanfs. Thankfully we were not to tied to removal dates as we already had access to our new home. Our first choice dates were agreed, (give loads of notice if you can). Helen was great in the office keeping us informed. The price was very similar to other quotes we received but from first contact to final drop off Maidmans gave us assurance and confidence.
The day of the move Shaun and Phil arrived on time. Clean smart removal van, them dressed in uniform. They packed beautifully asking loads of questions along the way to ensure our home went in the right place when unloading. Packing and loading was completed the same day ready for a drive to our new home the next day.
Shaun led a different team for the unload and it was seemless. All our belongings arrived safely. I must say that Phil and his wrapping and packing of all our bone china was superb.
Thank you Maidmans you were great.

"From the day Andy came to my home to estimate the cost of moving and what the plan would be, to the packers the day before the move and Sean and James on move day ,I can not fault this company. Helen ,Jo and Keith on the end of a phone ,helped me through the trials and tribulations of moving after 39years !!! Storage of bedroom items for a couple of weeks whilst our property was being decorated

"From the moment that I contacted Maidmans and received a visit from Steve Webber to assess our needs the whole procedure was smooth and straightforward from receiving the quotation, the invoices and the terms and conditions, to the actual move into storage. We needed the storage to be done quickly and this was no problem and all organised for us very quickly.

The two chaps that came to move us, Shaun and Kieran, were friendly cheerful and efficient and our belongings were loaded into two crates and taken away to storage. On the return we were lucky enough to have Shaun and Kieran again and they couldn't have been more helpful patiently placing items back where we wanted them quietly and cheerfully.

They were a pleasure to deal with, left no mess and were thoughtful and careful when manoeuvring furniture into place to avoid the newly decorated paintwork.

I only spoke to Helen Collins in the office briefly but she was friendly and helpful and I would definitely have no problem recommending Maidmans to anyone who needed either a whole house move or just like us short term storage.

All the paperwork was extremely clear and easy to read and although the small print was very comprehensive, easy enough to read and we are very grateful for the great job they did for us."

The move was from my 5 bedroom house with 5 reception rooms that I had owned for 29 years to a 3 bed bungalow with one reception room with kitchen included. So very much down sized.

"Chris arrived to pack first thing the day before and I could not believe how fast he was and completely on his own until lunch time. Then two others arrived and did most of the heavy furniture for the rest of the day.
All very cheerful and worked very hard all day.
On the morning of the move another chap appeared which made four in total and they worked like trojans until 11.15 when they left my house.

It was another two hours before we got the keys to my new property and they then proceeded to unpack both vans putting everything into the correct labelled rooms and outside areas.

Everything went smoothly and no stress caused throughout the day. Very professional and hard working team indeed. Such a good service and would recommend to anyone."

We moved from a fairly large 4 bed house to a 3 year old 3 bed house. Having not moved for a number of years there was a fair amount of accumulated possessions to be moved.

"Moving house was always going to be a stressful time but the removals service of Maidmans could not have been better.

The timetable for packing and departure was explained well before the date and packing materials were delivered for us to pack the items we wanted to. The staff arrived on time on the day before and packed as much as possible, returning on the actual moving date with a smaller van to complete the pack. On arrival at the new house with all vans all the furniture and packaging was in the house in a few hours.

The staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful throughout a very hot day. Nothing at all was broken or damaged (doors, bannisters were covered so as not to mark them or the items being moved). Each area was cleared systematically on packing and boxes/furniture put in the correct places on arrival. Only one area was forgotten - we hadn't emptied the dishwasher (our fault!) so had to return to the old house to collect the contents.

We would highly recommend Maidmans for house removals.

Moving from a 3 bed family home to a 3 bed bungalow, after 29 years in the same place, there was a lot to pack and move.

"We obtained 3 quotes for our move, Maidmans were the middle price but instilled confidence in their ability to get the job done in a safe timely manner. The confidence was well placed, the team were exceptional when packing, worked like Trojans in intense heat and just got the job done. The team were led by Martin who was exemplary.

Apart from all the normal chattels, an old motorcycle along with several items of garage machinery were shifted.
I have no hesitation in giving Maidmans a fantastic review."

"Had an initial in person visit from Andy to do an assessment and everything was explained clearly and was left with a booklet. As promised we then received a quote which was accepted and removal date booked. The team arrive promptly, were very efficient, friendly and helpful. House move

"As soon as Andy came to our home to provide a quote for our move we felt confident that we were in the hands of a professional company he explained everything thoroughly.
We picked up packing boxes,packing materials, tape from their depot as down as we exchanged contracts which was all included in the price.
On moving day Steve and Kieran arrived promptly and cleared our bungalow and garage quickly and carefully, they were joined by several other members of the removal team at times. All team members were very friendly and worked really hard.
Unfortunately when we arrived at our new home, just a mile from our previous property we had to wait a couple of hours in very hot weather before we got the call to pick ip the keys. Steve and Kieran remained jovial and patient throughout. When they were able to start unloading they were again joined by another team member and the whole operation was carried out carefully and speedily. All boxes and furniture was placed in the correct rooms and no breakages.
Would highly recommend Maidmans.

"Very easy to deal with. Very responsive and very flexible (dates of move back in changed a few times) Overall careful with possessions and refurbished Flat. Very good at reassembling furniture. Move was in 2 stages. 2 day to remove all our belongings and fragile items ( wrapped by Maidmans ) into storage and 5 weeks later from storage to new address.

"We were first visited by Andy who gave a fair and reasonable valuation for moving directly from one address to our new home. As our sale progressed along slowly it was apparent we needed a new valuation due to discarding many large items and agreeing to leave all our white goods in old property. We also now had to break the chain of sale and required our belongings to go into storage with Maidmans for a minimum 5 weeks.
I was very pleased with all interaction with staff in the office and Keith from operations for the clear and polite dialogue and facilitating removal into storagewith uncertainty of exchanging contracts and completing 2 days later.
5 weeks laters when we completed on our onward property coming out of storage also operated to the same standard.
Both into storage and out of storage the teams of removers were polite, efficient and clearly experienced. All belongings were handled with care and arrived undismayed at final destination.
Furthermore having telephoned for collection of removal boxes and packing they were collected the following day.
I would happily recommend Maidmans to people I kn"

This is the second time of using Maidmans Removal Service and we were just as impressed this time as we were the first time we used them 12 years ago. All the staff are very helpful, polite and courteous and they all work together to get the job done in a quick and efficient way.If you require more boxes or tape like I did,one phone call and both were delivered within 2 days. Great care was taken before Dave and Josh started to load the van by putting protective coverings on the carpets, stairs and front door and mattresses were all covered in special protective tive bags to prevent them being marked or damaged. Arriving at the new build property great care was taken again and before unloading began all door entrances with carpet and stairs were all covered with a special film to protect the new carpet plus front door in a protective blanket. Maidmans give such a reliable service and they really do help in making the move as stressfree as possible and we would definitely use the again if we ever moved again.

"We have used Maidmans twice now and both times we have had an excellent service. We have found all the staff extremely helpful, polite and courteous and all are smartly dressed and they all work together in a quick and efficient way and getting the job done. So much care is taken by covering all the bannisters and stairs to prevent knocks when removing furniture and the front door is totally encased in a special blanket to help protect it from knocks as furniture is carried through. All the mattresses are protected in large mattress bags to help prevent marks and furniture is wrapped in blankets on the van. If we do decide to move again we would definitely use Maidmans a third time as we feel that everyone works togetherdo well and they give such a reliable service and we feel that they really do help in making the move as stressfree as possible."

This was not a move as such, but putting into storage all the furniture from my lounge to allow for the fitting of a new carpet. The furniture was returned the following week. The expert removers had to bring all the pieces through the bungalow, out of the patio door, into the back garden and through the car port; much easier than through the front door!

"The whole team at Maidmans are a delight. Professional, helpful and friendly. Their expertise made the whole process so much less stressful than it could have been. We felt very safe in their hands. Contact with Jo, Keith and Helen in the office was so straightforward and clear, to the extent that we could almost see our details written on one of their whiteboards! Watching the packing of our furniture was to witness real experts knowing exactly what they were doing, likewise the unpacking and putting back together a large china display cabinet which had had to be taken apart. Nothing was too much trouble for the whole team and we are so grateful that our project is now successfully completed!"

We had the full packing service, which was a very good idea and contributed significantly towards reducing the stressful aspects of moving. Items were packed quickly and carefully, with no breakages or issues. The house was cleared the day after packing, loaded, delivered and placed where we wanted at the new property an hour and a half away.

"Maidmans were excellent from start to finish. The office staff were friendly, helpful and very communicative throughout. We had an initial visit from Andy who quickly assessed what would be needed and arranged for a prompt quote.

Our belongings were packed quickly and carefully. On completion day, the house was cleared and our things were transported to our new home, unloaded and placed where we wanted them. The guys were pleasant, professional and very efficient. There were no breakages as everything had been packed so carefully, especially delicate items.

Empty boxes were collected very promptly after us notifying they were ready.

We would definitely recommend Maidmans. It was reassuring to have such a professional team involved."

"we moved very quickly---Maidmans were given different dates and in the end we moved within a few days---Keith at the Willis Way branch and the staff in the office were put under pressure to fit us in and coped with this admirably-----our dealings with maidmans were great all the way through to the move itself--The staff dealing with the move itself were very courteous and helpful. All in all the price was not the cheapest but their professionalism was second to none and the extra cost was well worth it---If you are moving then I suggest Maidmans are the firm to use.."

My move was from the Isle of Wight to Poole. As I had about 12 days between moving out of my Isle of Wight property and moving into my Poole property, my furniture and belongings had to go into storage. This was all dealt with by Maidmans very efficiently. The price below is the inclusive price for the whole job including the storage.

"This is the second time I have used Maidmans for moving and storage facilities.

They were extremely patient and very helpful as my dates kept changing due to a complicated sale.

The removal team were very efficient and polite. The only point I would make is we could have done with more than 2 men on moving out of the Isle of Wight property as there was a lot of packing to do in a short space of time. They worked a long day and started again extremely early the next day to make sure we were out of the property by 1pm.

If I ever have to move again, I will use Maidmans as my first choice"

"Absolutely perfect.A stressful time was made stressfree by an excellent team of men who carried out the whole procedure with the utmost of professionalism and are a credit to their company.

The packing was done with great care with boxes marked with contents which made the unpacking so straightforward.

On arrival at our new home,nothing was damaged, with all items placed in the correct rooms.Nothing was too much trouble for the team.

Having moved several times in the past this is without doubt the BEST removal company we have ever used.
