Installation of new Velux Window with flashing and new blind also fitted. Mark also made good the roof tiles as part of the installation work.

"We highly recommend Mark who installed a Velux window. Mark did an amazing professional job from start to finish. Every part of the work was perfect and the meticulous attention to detail was incredible. Mark kept us informed of the work as it progressed and was very profesional throughout the installation works and at all times he was very respectful of our personal space. As the works progressed a tidy up operation took place daily. We can’t fault any of Marks work and the new window and blind installed is exactly what we were hoping for and it’s perfect. The cost was reasonable when compared against other quotes. Overall we are delighted and wouldn’t hesitate to use Mark again for further velux window work needed in our house refurb project."

Installation of four new electric Velux windows with Velux blackout shutters. The cost we have provided is for the installation alone, and does not include the cost of the windows or shutters.

"We needed four new electric Velux windows with blackout shutters and chose Mark McGuire for the job. We reached out to him in July 2023 and were aware that we'd have to wait until February 2024 for the installation. Given Mark's stellar reviews, we felt the wait would be worthwhile. And indeed, it was.

Mark was a master of clear communication. He visited our home to assess where the windows would go and shared the plan with us, ensuring we understood each step. His approach made us feel involved and informed throughout the process.

What stood out was Mark's reliability. He kept every promise, from the timely emails updating us on the progress to sticking to his schedule. When the installation began, Mark was punctual, arriving at 8 a.m. each day, ready to work.

His respect for us and our home was evident. He treated both my wife and me with utmost courtesy. Mark maintained a clean work area, tidying up every evening, which significantly reduced any inconvenience for us.

Beyond the work, Mark's personality added an unexpected dimension to the experience. We shared a lot of laughs, and his positive attitude brought a sense of joy to our home, making the entire process a happy one.

Mark's commitment didn't stop at the installation. He went above and beyond by helping us rearrange the furniture in the newly fitted window room, a gesture that showcased once again the kind of person Mark is.

Our decision to wait for Mark McGuire was completely justified by the quality of his work and the excellent service we received; we absolutely love the new windows and shutters! Mark's professionalism, clear communication, reliability, and friendly nature made the installation process smooth and pleasant. We highly recommend Mark to anyone considering Velux window installations. His work is more than just installing windows; it's about delivering a top class service to his clients."

Velux window replacement. Removal of 2 large Velux windows and one smaller Velux window in a toilet space. Installation of 3 new windows.

"You have to admire Mark for his work ethic and very positive attitude.

He is punctual and works tirelessly for long hours, weather permitting.
He is extremely skilled at what he does, working with such highly rated products and he is a true asset to the Velux Company.

From my initial contact, he was committed from start to finish. When he gives a timeframe, he sticks to it and helps you along the way, if you have any issues when ordering your windows. His input makes it a smooth process.

I had 3 old Velux windows replaced in a loft conversion and the difference is immeasurable.

The only drawback is that you will have to wait months for his services but he is upfront about this from the outset, so plan ahead. It will be so worth it.

Replacement of velux window in bathroom.

"We first spoke to Mark when he was replacing a velux window for a neighbour… from that very first interaction until today when he finished replacing our window he has been friendly, professional and kind.

From reading previous reviews I knew he would do a great job and he really has. We are delighted with our new window… we got a new bathroom last year and it looks even better now with the new window!

He completed the work today to a very high standard… you wouldn’t even know he’d been here, not a speck of dust or dirt in sight.

Our window was a bit awkward to get to with the toilet directly underneath it but this wasn’t a problem for Mark…. He built himself a platform that fit around our bathroom suite.

Aside from the high standard of fitting the window itself we’ve also been very impressed with Mark’s communication skills: he always got back to us very quickly, which I’ve found to be quite rare these days!!

He was also lovely with our little boys which is always appreciated.

Thank you for hard work Mark, we really appreciate it and would highly recommend you."

Repair of a leaking velux window

"We have a very low pitched roof with a velux window fitted. Over many years this window has leaked and no-one could fix it. One company even replaced the window but still water would pour in on a fairly regular basis. I am so pleased to say that with the effort, patience and skill Mark has, he has managed to do what we never dared hope, the window is now completely water-tight! It has been severely tested since it was fitted and not a drop of water has fallen!! We really are so grateful, words cannot really express how grateful we are but would not hesitate to recommend Mark’s work. His communication, skill and professionalism is second to none. Replacing two existing Velux Windows with more modern Velux windows

"Mark was very diligent throughout and also included a site visit prior to works to ensure a smooth work plan.

I was impressed by the laying out of equipment and the preparation of materials so that when the roof was open, this is Scotland remember, the installation could progress without undue delay.

The end result was two triple glazed replacement windows fitted without issue in not always ideal weather. A good piece of work all round.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Mark for Velux works.

"Mark has done an amazing job replacing and aged and faulty VELUX window with a new one, whilst fixing both the exterior roof surrounding it and touching up the inside of the opening to make it look superb. "This was the second job Mark has done for us. We invited him back after being impressed with his work and professional approach in the past. This time around, Mark replaced 2 velux windows in the roof of our house. One of the windows was in the bathroom with slightly tricky access but this proved no problem and Mark was able to work around it. Mark worked long hours on one of the days to get a window in before a rainstorm which demonstrates his work ethic and his commitment to customer care. Always pleasant to have around he tidied up afterwards and the quality of the workmanship is fantastic. Thanks for doing such a great job!"

Replacing two Velux windows

"From first contacting Mark last year, he has kept me up to date with costs, delivery dates, installation dates and explaining how he would carry out the work.
Whilst the work was being carried out Mark arrived on time explaining what he intended doing that day and, at the end of the day’s work he tidied up which made it easier for me to continue to use my kitchen where the work was being done. He also discovered issues with broken tiles on my roof - we paid for new ones and he repaired the damaged roof.
I would not hesitate to recommend Mark for the quality of his work, friendliness and the care he took during and after the job clearing and cleaning as he went. Indeed, he is coming back in May to refit another of my Velux."

"Mark McGuire installed a couple of Velux windows for me back in 2019 and, in view of that experience, I had no hesitation in getting him back again to fit another two.

He is an excellent communicator and gives very detailed quotes both for the work required and for the time required to complete the job.

As before he is punctual, organised, tidy, friendly, and his workmanship is second to none.

I am extremely pleased with the work Mark has done in my house and have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who is thinking having Velux windows installed

Replacement of Velux window

"I contacted Mark via the Velux website as I was looking for a replacement for the Velux window in my bathroom. From initial enquiry to completion of the work Mark has provided an exceptional service. This began with an email exchange in which he listed my options for the window and detail of the work required. Mark then made a site visit when he explained the different types of Velux replacement enabling me to make an informed decision on the fabric of the window. Mark kept me informed regarding start date and projected timescale; there were no delays or surprises. My bathroom has just been refitted so it was important that there was no damage caused by the Velux replacement work. Mark was meticulous in covering and protecting the new bathroom creating a secure platform from which he could work effectively and safely whilst ensuring that the rest of the room was not marked or damaged. At the end of the job all his equipment was cleared away and waste bagged up for disposal and recycling. Mark provided demonstrations and advice for the new window and made sure that I was happy with the work. I am delighted with the end result."

Replacement of old velum window. Repair to another.

"I would highly recommend Mark for any Velux related issues. For us, he repaired one & replaced another. The latter was tricker as an older style had to be replaced by a modern one.
Throughout the process, there as clear communication both by email & in person. Material ordered in advance, so no delays to starting the job.
Mark was professional, friendly, trustworthy, punctual & work started on the day indicated.
I had to wait 5 months for a time to become available for the work due to high demand. I can see why now!
The ensuite was left immaculate after the work was completed.

Replace 3 old velux windows with new ones, replace flashing an surrounds and fit velux blinds

"From start to finish Mark provided an excellent service.
I was advised there would be a bit of a wait due to other work commitments but were given a start date there and then and true to his word, Mark turned up at 8am on the day agreed.

Before starting, Mark kept me updated on the process and delivery of the windows so I was never in doubt about what was happening
On delivery of the windows, by Mark himself, he spent time going over what the first few days would look like.

Mark is very well organised and takes pride in his work and does an excellent job. His workmanship is second to none. This job was not straight forward due to past errors when the original windows were fitted but Mark managed to make it look easy.

The end product is fantastic and I am very happy with my new windows. Mark tidied up after the job was finished and you wouldn't know he had been here.

As an elderly widow I felt completely at ease having Mark in my house. He is friendly, hard working and a joy to have around, I will miss his company.

I would not hesitate to recommend Mark to anyone looking to have velux windows fitted."
