Downsizing from house to bungalow with a lot of workshop machinery and tools. Unfortunately weather wise timing g not good, 2ft of snow.

"Although as mentioned the weather made things difficult, the assessor did not appear to have mentioned the weight and type of workshop machinery which proved difficult. Also some of rhe packing of the China, crockery etc.did not make sense how lids were in a different box,sets were separated ,seat cushions were all in different boxes with other things and some objects were left in cupboards inc our mugs. They did work hard under difficult circumstances though"

Shore Porters conducted 2 moves for us & also took our belongings into storage. The moves were from Aberdeen to storage & then from storage to Edinburgh.

"I obtained quotes from several removal firms & they were all different prices. Shore Porters were not the cheapest but not the most expensive by a long shot.

The reason I went with Shore Porters in the end was because of Kerry Farman. She was they key to all of the coordination of our moves/storage. She gave me total confidence that she knew what she was doing for us & her communication with us was first class. Well done Kerry.

I also spoke to others in the office who were also informative.

The removal guys themselves were very careful & considerate of our belongings & helped with anything we asked for.

I also think Kerry should get a promotion for her coordination as this wasn’t an easy move."

House move from Midmar to Banchory. Excellent service. Packer’s did a thoroughly good job 2 days and one before the move and also on the day of moving! Overall from quotation right through to final move, we have been happy with the team and the service provided.

"We were extremely happy with the move from start of quotation to final We found all the shore Porters staff very helpful and cooperative. Also patient when we had to wait for keys to access the new property.
Supply of additional boxes for our own packing was also very helpful. We are still working on unpacking everything, so the offer to come to remove packaging and empty boxes is also a nice feature which will be very beneficial.
Luckily the weather was kind to us all on the moving day, but precautions were taken to keep wet or dirty shoes from the floors, just in case. A nice service.
Very difficult to suggest any means of improvement other than keeping up with the way you are doing things already."

Our initial request was through Scott Thomson who supplied the quotes for removal and storage. We were then in discussions with Kerrie Farman who was very informative and very helpful. We agreed costs and move dates. We were moving from Ballater to Aboyne and be looking for a move back in due course. Reason for moving, was from our property to lease property for a duration due to fire damage from a neighboring property. The move went smoothly and the guys were excellent.

"From start to finish we were given excellent service, all very professional and courteous.

From Craig, Kerrie in the office to the guys that did the move.

Driver Jim and the two young lads (Jake & ??) were exceptional and did all the packing and heavy lifting.
Very professional, efficient and hard working but also friendly.

The move went very smoothly and all delivered to rooms/areas as requested.
Much impressed.

We will be looking for same guys to complete the move back once our house has been repaired and work completed.

We have a quote from Kerrie and will give a months notice when required.

Please pass thanks to all these guys as they are a credit to the company.

Moved to nearby location to downsize. We had boxes delivered prior to the move. We packed non breakable items. Shore porters were responsible for breakables. Furniture moved was all quite standard. The difficult area was the garage-an exceptionably large work bench, a wood turning lathe and lots of tools. All handled with ease. In addition in the house was an indoor orchid collection, these were also handled with care. We had a walk through visit prior to the move. The move was handled over three days.

"The experience of dealing with Shore Porters was excellent from initial enquiry to completion of the move. We had an initial visit whilst making up our mind which company to use. The details of the move were discussed. This was quickly followed up by contact from the office(Aberdeen) and a quote. The quote was not the cheapest, but we were very impressed by the service offered so went with it.
Prior to the move we had contact with the office and packing boxes delivered.
On moving day the crew arrived early and set to packing quickly. They were friendly and professional. All items were handled with care. The move took place over three days, with packing finished on day two. On day two, when we finally got the keys, the van was waiting for us at our new house. Unpacking was completed on day three.
At all times the crew were excellent."

I moved from Lincolnshire to Aberdeenshire. Access at both ends was challenging but the guys were superb. They arrived promptly and got a 4 bed house and garden packed and loaded in 8 hours.

We chose SPS for our move from Aberdeen to Dalkeith. An excellent pre-quotation visit was done and after accepting the quote the dates for the move were scheduled. It was a summer move: first to storage and then delivery to our new home.

It was a summer move: first to storage and then delivery to our new home. A crew of 4 packed up in high temperatures and then a crew of 2 made the delivery from storage. All our goods had no breakage or damage.
After we unpacked all the empty boxes and paper were picked up from us within a week.
Overall a stress free move. An excellent job was done by the Assessor, the removal crew and the move coordinator.

We received 3 quotes from reputable companies. We selected SPS as they employ their crew and look after them also during the move and possible overnight stays."

We were moving from a 3 bedroom house to another house in the same town. The team arrived on time, had a walk through the house and garage to check what items there were and to double check if any items were remaining. They were very efficient and took care of our items.

"I had initially requested a quote online, however, I received a call and an appointment made for a representative to come to the house to see the items for moving. They were very friendly, advised what the team would do on the day and gave advice on packing certain items, which was really helpful.
The team in the office were very friendly too and we received all the paperwork by email which was clear and easy to follow.
On the day of moving, the boxes were marked with which room to put them to in the new house and it went smoothly. From arriving after 8am, everything was in the new house and they were gone by about 2pm and there were a lot of boxes!!"

The entire contents of our house were packed away into the large removal van and transported 400 miles to remain in the company’s own storage facility for several months. Whilst 3 days were allocated for the process, the 3 professional removal men were away on their journey at the beginning of the third day. We had a few clocks which were carefully packed. The garage looked challenging but it was well packed away. Thank you.

"Nothing was too much trouble-all our kitchen cupboards of china, glasses, cups and sauces were wrapped and stored carefully.

We asked Shore Porters to carry out our move because the company moved our son and family previously and we were able to be there and saw how careful and thorough the people involved were.

We would highly recommend them if you require a removal business that has excellent communications and has many years of experience and a great team of professionals.

Our move was essentially a lift and shift. Most of the ''large'' elements (dining room table and chairs etc..) were not coming with us, and the kitchen appliances were all integrated. I had tried to box as much as I could, to make the lifting and stacking a little easier, and this helped with the timings on move day itself. We were moving from a 4-bedroom villa, over 2 floors, to a similar house setup.

"The team from Shore Porters were brilliant and very professional.

I had never used house movers before, so had no idea of time / scale, but they emptied my entire 4 bedroom house, plus garden furniture and double garage in 2.5 hours. Very impressive!!

We then had a frustrating delay in getting the keys to our new property, but the team were all very good about it and still managed to get all of our boxes unloaded by 5pm. Our move co-ordinator even checked in to see how my wife and I were doing regarding the delay, and checking we were OK.

Very, VERY happy with the service of the whole team on the day.

Absolutely fantastic ! Highest recommendations from me.

The men who did my house removal were pleasant, professional, courteous and efficient. I appreciated also Craig’s calls to check in and advise as time went on and still no keys until late pm.

"I cannot praise the whole team highly enough. The team made tremendous efforts to to get the van emptied in time to avoid me having to pay penalties. I will certainly recommend to any friends or colleagues. Office staff also very professional, friendly and helpful. Also, well priced compared to other firms. Would recommend highly."
