"I cannot fault this company. From my first enquiry to taking my items into my new house, they were faultless.

Everyone I dealt with from the office staff and estimator of costs on the house visit to the removal crew were professional, polite, efficient and knowledgeable.

Communication was fast, thorough, detailed and I can honestly say, they took all the stress out of the move, which I had been dreading.

My goods were delivered safely, perfectly packaged with no damage. I had a delivery of boxes before my move which were delivered in good time and I felt I had really clear instructions to re clothing, mattresses etc.

My beds were reassembled in record time and everything placed just as I asked. The removal team were so efficient and helpful- I felt completely looked after and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I can’t remember the last time I had such exemplary customer service and felt so valued as a customer.

There were a couple of items they packed in a couple of boxes themselves which showed to us how professional they were.

Standard house move but with awkward items of Childrens outside toys that were difficult to get out of the path from Garden. The move was delayed but Shore porters were quick and efficient to book items into storage and work around our circumstances

"Fantastic from start to finish.

Quote was dealt with quickly and considering the time of year , were able to deal with our short deadline.

The loading and packing was fantastic with no issues at all the staff being very friendly and helpful.

unfortunately our moving in day got pushed back which was extremely stressful. However Shore Porters understood and accommodated the change in dates very well. They were flexible enough to allow me to visit to get some items we needed until we could move in. throughout this period the staff were magnificent and was one less thing to worry about knowing our items were stored and ready to go when needed.

when we finally exchanged house, shore porters were ready to go with the new date and had no issues with the short notice

"The whole process from the very beginning was easy and trouble free.
The video appointment was very detailed to enable an accurate quote and schedule for the move.

The lorry arrived on time and on schedule. The chaps were very friendly but efficient. Everything was loaded and packed with care.

At the other end, again they arrived on time and unloaded everything with care and efficiently.

Had no issues with the service at all.
Really glad we used a local Scottish company rather than a local one to us in Bristol."

Moving partial house contents including fragile antique furniture and paintings

"I was contacted by a Shore Porters removals coordinator within an hour of requesting a quote, and by the end of the day had a detailed proposal which took account of all my requirements. Due to the fragility of some of the furniture being moved, I wanted the items to remain on the same vehicle throughout, and they were able to suggest a smaller vehicle that was well-matched to the size of the job (this was in contrast to another well-regarded removals firm who didn't pay attention to my detailed requirements and took a month to realise they couldn't provide a suitable service).

After a video survey, I was easily able to book my move for a convenient date. On the day the 2 man team updated me on their arrival time, and once in the house worked quickly but carefully to pack fragile items and load the lorry. Delivery at the destination was just as smooth, kept informed of their arrival time, then an efficient but careful transfer of my furniture items to their intended locations.

Overall I couldn't be more impressed with Shore Porters. From the first contact to the last box unloaded I dealt with really impressive staff who provided an excellent service."

Removals of large split level 3 bed flat with a narrow difficult entrance, and a two level patio. Full packing service as well as removals.

"I have moved a lot in my time, and used various removal companies. ShorePorters provided an excellent service. They were a professional, punctual, and efficient team. The whole process was executed flawlessly. Prompt and polite communication at booking, with clear expectations set and process explained.

Packing was efficient, all delicate items carefully wrapped and handled.
Our flat which was brimming with things was packed in record time.

Drop off was punctual and professional. The crew was respectful of carpets and flooring, as the weather was wet and mucky on the day of the drop off.

Cardboard boxes were promptly collected once requested after unpacking.

I am grateful to ShorePorters for making a house move with two very small children a stress free experience."

Move from Scotland to Devon. Full pack service provided. Furniture went via storage (for c 4 weeks).

"Office staff were extremely helpful and pleasant - and were probably the reason that we went with this company. There was a bit of a mis-match between timings that we were given by the office and actual timings experienced e.g. the packers arrived to pack later than expected - we were messaged on the morning to let us know they would be late but it was unclear why because the packers said that they turned up at the time that they had been asked to turn up i.e. there wasn't any reason why the timings had changed. On delivery we were told to expect delivery starting on the afternoon and continuing on into the next day. No lorry appeared on the afternoon - we had to phone to find out where the lorry had got to - evidently the re-loading from storage and travel started off later than was initially scheduled and the removal lorry didn't appear until the next day. Not a problem but we would have expected to be kept updated - we were waiting around for a lorry that didn't appear! The labelling of the boxes wasn't very helpful when we came to unpack and a few of the items had been a bit squashed and slightly damaged - fairly negligible in the scheme of things but a little irritating. Furniture was off loaded and placed in position with reasonable care and packing staff and unloaders were all very polite."

Shore Porters moved us from Aberdeen to Lochaline. They packed for us, including some delicate and expensive items. Everything was done efficiently and the staff were friendly and very professional, asking if they were unsure of anything. Everything arrived in a perfect state, and the many boxes were helpfully delivered to the appropriate rooms.

"Every aspect of our experience with Shore Porters was easy and stress free. I contacted the company by phone and we had a personal advisor visit within a few days. The quotations were quick to arrive and very clear to interpret. The move was then arranged for the following week. I had assumed that there would be a longer lead in, so I was delighted that the team would be able to move us so quickly. Because of the short lead in, we opted for the company to pack for us. This was a great decision for us. A team of four packers arrived in the morning and this was supplemented by another two later in the day. Nothing was too much bother and the team worked extremely hard to get everything packed up, including the very delicate and expensive items. In Lochaline, the van arrived with perfect timing, in spite of diversions due to the Corran Ferry being off. Every item was delivered into the appropriate room and, having unpacked all of our boxes, in perfect condition. Our decision to move with Shore Porters made the move stress free for us. We had looked at a few other companies, but they expected us to measure each item of furniture and enter it into a website that was not user friendly, etc., but Shore Porters made everything easy. We felt that we had professional and experienced people to work with. We feel that our whole experience was well worth the fee."

From Aboyne to Edinburgh - involved massive downsizing of stuff but we still had far too much for the new place. The team were really helpful and co-operative in the whole thing.

"THe team arrived promptly on day 1 to pack books, kitchen stuff, shelves etc into boxes and also non essential furniture. They left us our bed and some cooking implements etc for staying over to day 2. Day 2 everything was to go in the van. Bed and large sofa to be dismantled and all furniture into van. Team were finished around mid afternoon. Day 3 again a prompt arrival in Edinburgh and boxes and furniture into house and garage. Bed and sofa assembled and things put in appropriate rooms as far as possible given the more limited space available.

We had very many boxes to empty and store. About 20 boxes had also been filled with packing paper and all had to be stored under a tarpaulin in the garden. Fortunately the company managed to retrieve them (about a week later) before any real downpours hit.

THe removal team were really friendly and helpful. Worth every penny."

"We secured the services of the Shore Porters Society to move our household goods from the UK to Spain and have been so impressed with the service we received. Andrew met us first to assess our requirements and the quote provided was very reasonable. Doreen was fantastic ensuring we had all the correct paperwork completed and communicated with us regularly to update us on shipment and delivery dates. All questions were answered quickly and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent customer service!

The delivery in Spain was so smooth and checked meticulously by the team. Our thanks to Curtis for keeping us updated. This attention to detail was excellent as not one item was damaged or broken.

3 day move - packing all home items at old house and setting up at new house

"On contacting Shore Porters for a quotation for my move Andrew came out to assess the type of service we needed and the size of the move. He then presented us with three options and we decided the 3day move suited us best. Kerry then sent me our quotation and all the legal jargon and we signed the contract. This was five weeks ahead of the move and gave us peace of mind that everything was in hand for the actual move which is so important when all of the buying and selling stuff is going on. Kerry called a week or so before the start date just to check we were happy that all was going to plan and tell me a four man crew would be with me on day 1 headed up by Dave and that they were a great bunch of guys and she wasn’t wrong! Dave, Chris and Grant were with me at 8.30 day one and I instantly felt comfortable that these guys were going to get us from our old house to our new one with the minimum of fuss! They were fantastic and i had absolute confidence in them! There were absolutely no breakages or damage to any of our possessions and each and every box was packed safely and delivered to the rooms we had indicated on the quick walk around we did when they arrived at our new property. I can’t recommend Shore Porters highly enough and although maybe a bit pricier than other movers out there they are worth every penny at what can honestly be described as one of life’s most stressful events. Shore Porters helped us to move my elderly mother from her home of more than 50 years to a new retirement apartment. The move included some good quality antiques which have been in the family for years, and we asked for a full packing service. We needed to put the contents of her home into storage for a few days to allow for the sale of her house and the purchase of her apartment to be completed. Our original removal and delivery dates had to be postponed for a fortnight because of delays completing the sale of her house.

"We chose them because they were very friendly and responsive - easy to reach by telephone and by email - and they gave us a good value quote in comparison with other companies that we had approached. They dealt with uncertainty about the removal dates and changes forced on us by the selling process in a reassuring and understanding way. The actual removal went very well. The crew were on time and were kind and friendly to Mum, while completing the job quickly and without any breakages. We asked for a packing service with special attention for some antiques and everything was carefully handled - and arrived in perfect condition! Especially appreciated was the 'after sales' service of picking up the packaging materials, arranged with a simple phone call and done within a couple of hours of making the call. This made all the difference in getting the apartment into a liveable state and helping Mum to settle in. Everyone that we've dealt with from the office staff, to the surveyor, to the removals crew and the guys that came to take the empty boxes away has been friendly, efficient and gone out of their way to care about us and our needs. Our move was from south of England to Aberdeen. We wanted a dedicated van so that we could be specific about the date, as we were not living at the south of England property. Five days would be needed , so a van had to be available all week. An ever moving (later) Exchange Date and Completion Date, plus several Public Holidays in April and May, meant that scheduling by Shore Porters, was quite demanding. We had quotes from a well known UK company and from a local south of England company. Shore Porters had the most suitable quote and performed the move extremely well.

"Kerrie Farman was our main point of contact, and she was excellent, and do helpful.
We can highly recommend her as the main point of contact.
Also Craig …… in the office who supplied more technical logistics aspects.
Driver of the 10m van team was Nicky, and Matthew.
Both excellent.

"The team of three arrived on time and worked nonstop until the lorry was loaded and all our stuff was gone. They worked equally hard in reverse at the delivery end placing all our effects in the required room, she’d, or garden space.

I moved from Skye to Inverurie. Access to my house in Skye is not the easiest and Shore Porters were aware of this. The move was handled very well throughout the whole process.

"I had used Shore Porters previously when I moved from Greater London to Skye back in 2002. At that time I took quotes from two other companies but chose Shore Porters, even though they were not the cheapest but my family had previous experience of the firm many years ago.

For the move from Skye to Inverurie I got a quote from Shore Porters which I thought was competitive so did not bother to contact other firms.

From the initial contact with the sales department (Kerrie and then Craig), the surveyor video call and the actual move I could not fault the service provided.

I think it is important that the team are not changed during the removal. Dealing with the same people over a three day period is very reassuring. I understand that for logistical reasons this may not always be possible but I was fortunate to have the same people over the three days. I found Ian and Martin to be friendly and professional throughout the move."

Our move was very last minute and after contacting all our local companies who couldn’t help us we tried further afield and were delighted to find Shore Porters could assist.

"Excellent service from start to finish. Professional helpful and obliging. The office staff were superb, so very professional, helpful and obliging, as we were moving in just a few days they did a video call to price the job which was reasonable and competitive.
It was a large move with some very large and large heavy pieces of antique furniture including a grandfather clock, yet all were moved safely and at ease by a lovely crew. They completed the move very quickly and efficiently. We were delighted with their service and they were also very reasonably priced.
