Roof leak repair

"The roofer from the SS Roofing Experts came to inspect the roof leak and after a detailed check, advised a repair which I accepted. The repair work was carried out however after a couple of months I noticed that the problem was not fixed as the leak was still there.

As the repair work was guaranteed, I informed them of the issue expecting that they would help resolve this. Since then, they sent numerous roofers who would come, check and tell me that the repair work that was originally done was not necessary as the issue was elsewhere and a different type of repair was needed. I was told that as the issue was not related to the original repair, they would charge me for the new repair work. I tried to reason with them that all I wanted was the leak repair and they, being the experts decided to perform that particular repair work and now they wanted to do a new repair job.

While this debate was going on with them for a few months, I got this checked by other roofing companies who advised the similar type of repair work which Ben from SS Roofing Experts was now suggesting and confirmed that the previous job was unnecessary.

They said that scaffolding was needed to do this new repair and got the scaffolding up and I thought that they were willing to get the botched job fixed but they sent me a new quote which I refused to accept as it was too costly and something they should have fixed within the warranty.

In the end, Ben refused to honour the guarantee and do the remedial work and I had to get this job done by another roofing company incurring additional cost.

Please be aware of the "expert advice" they provide as it could come back to bite you and they would be no where to fix it under the false warranty they claim to provide."
