Cavity insulation removal from gable end of property.

"Having suffered from rising damp for a few years, we were recommended Cavivac by a local tradesman.

I got in touch for a quote and this was quickly organised for a convenient time. Following this quick visit we received the quote and soon set a date for the removal of our insulation.

On the day, the lads arrived bang on time and after giving us the detail of what they'd be doing, they set to work. Our property forms part of a public footpath and appropriate safety signs were put in place.

A few hours later, they had finished. All the holes they drilled had been filled and the area was left very tidy. I saw photographs of the cleared cavity and the buckets of insulation and debris were all taken away on completion.

If anyone suffers from damp and believe it due to cavity insulation, I fully recommend CAVIVAC."

Andy (Cavivac) phoned us 10 minutes before he arrived at our property. He listened while we explained our issues, and was extremely knowledgable about all aspects of Cavity wall insulation removal.

"He drilled 2 small holes into the outer walls, inserted a camera to show me a full 360 degree view of the interior walls, which confirmed the old insulation had been fully removed. This was a quick process, he filled both holes and even refused to take payment for the work undertaken.

He completely set our mind at rest, allowing us to consider our next course of action.

I would have no hesitation in considering Cavivac for any future work, and can thoroughly recommend them.

We had the wall insulation removed from our bungalow.

"Our request for an inspection was done within a week of asking. Within 6 weeks the work had been completed. Throughout the work I could view the work being carried out via a camera. If I had any questions Sam was only too happy to answer them. A broken replacement brick to match my others was sourced and all holes filled with a matching mortar colour. Sam cleaned up the site and checked I was happy with everything.
A couple of days later the invoice arrived with pictures of my now empty wall cavity.

"From the initial enquiry to finish the customer service was amazing. We were kept informed of all the processes through out the job. Sam and his work mate arrived on time on the start of the job and were so friendly and professional throughout, cleaning up as they went and making sure we were happy at all times explaining what they were doing and what they found. I wish every company was as good as these guys. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to new customers looking for a professional job"

Complete removal of blown-fibre cavity wall insulation from all external cavities of our detached house.

"Right from my first phone contact with Cavivac I felt that I was speaking to someone who understood and sympathized with my worries concerning severe damp ingress due to previously installed inappropriate cavity insulation. After a visit from a surveyor to assess the extent of the problem and possible solutions, I received a written statement of the costs of various alternatives. We were then able to arrange a mutually convenient date for the work to be undertaken. Cavivac arranged everything, including the erection of the required scaffolding and a site visit by an OSCAR representative to conduct a site competency assessment report while work was being undertaken.
The two engineers who conducted the extraction work were excellent. In spite of the inclement weather, they were able to complete the work in 3 days, and kept me fully informed of what they were doing and how they were progressing. On the final day they completed a thorough second pass with their compressed-air injector and extractor to remove any insulation that had settled overnight, and conducted a thorough cavity inspection to ensure that no insulation remained on wall ties or at the bottom of the cavity. Finally, all bricks were carefully replaced and all holes were cemented.
On the day after completion, I received a written statement of the work having been completed, together with date-stamped images of the empty cavities. It is difficult to describe the peace of mind my wife and I now feel. Based on my experience, I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Cavivac to undertake cavity insulation removal.

Cavity wall insulation removal

"Cavivac helped us out when we were a bit desperate having been let down by another extraction company who did not come when they said they were going to. Cavivac assisted us in finding a company to replace the insulation promptly following their removal of the old, defective insulation. Cavivac were very nice to deal with responding to telephone calls and emails promptly, kept us informed and kept to their timescale (they even came the day before to prepare things so that they would be certain to finish the extraction before the new insulation was due to be installed) and we have no hesitation in recommending them. We are a lot warmer now we have had the old insulation removed and replaced with new."
