Removal of old rotten fence panels and wooden fence posts on both sides of the garden, replacing with concrete posts, concrete gravel boards, and close/featherboard fence panels. Additional gravel boards where our side of the fence sat below ground level. Also installed new wooden gate at the back of the garden.

"Very professional and pleasant to deal with.

Dan came out and took detailed measurements and gave advice on how best to replace and install the new fence and gate, including recommending some additional gravel boards where our fence sits below ground level (on our side) to preserve the fence for longer.

Dan and his helper James turned up bright and early for work each day and did a superb job installing a new, much better, and much straighter fence than the old one we had. They took time and care to ensure everything was done correctly and kept us informed of any decisions or small adjustments needed.

The fence went up in under a week which was excellent considering the amount of panels to remove and replace and the troublesome amount of concrete and rubble from previous fence posts in the ground. Both Dan and James were friendly and cheerful despite the rainy weather conditions.

Once finished they tidied up their tools and swept/hosed down the garden areas they had been working leaving everything tidy.

We were so pleased with his work that when he was finished, we immediately asked him for another quote to replace our rotting wooden garden sleepers/steps. I'm sure he'll do just a good a job on these.

We used Dan as he was recommended by my sister whose fence he also worked on and have no hesitation recommending him to others."

"From our first contact with Dan by phone we found him to be professional and friendly. He was free to visit the house that day and assessed the work required and emailed us with an invoice within 24 hours. We were happy with the quote and he was then able to provide us with a date to commence the work within a week. He kept us up to date with any changes by email and phone so we knew exactly what was happening.
On the day he was punctual, kept any disruption to a minimum and tidied after himself.
Overall we are very happy with the work he did and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

We recently had orangery built and needed a door between there and the kitchen with a lock. In the area previously a dining room, the 4 new base kitchen units had to be fitted to the wall, worktops fitted to 5 units and the bottom kick boards fitted. We selected Dan from the Trusted Trader site. We purchased the worktop and accessories and the door ourselves.

"We contacted Dan by email and his response was prompt to arrange a site visit with a short lead time. Dan was thorough in assessing the job, advising us that the door we had purchased (on advice from else ware) was not suitable. Luckily Wickes exchanged the door for the correct one.
Dan provided a very competitive estimate promptly and we immediately agreed to go ahead with the work by email. Dan responded with a provisional start week which fitted our plans exactly.
Dan arrived early,he carried out the work with efficiency and tidiness and was respectful of our home. Dan is an excellent tradesman his workmanship skills are very good and he is a really nice guy, polite and friendly,all at the right balance we have found as star!We would not hesitate to recommend him."

Installing MDF picture rails in two rooms of the house, and erecting a wooden garden arch in a complicated setting

"Daniel responded to my request promptly and fitted my job in to a busy schedule. I worked with him (painting the picture rails and helping to support the garden arch during installation) which was good, and fun. He provided the necessary technical expertise and tools and did the installations - inside and outside - with great skill and to high standards, and adapted to do some unexpected tasks during the process! I am very pleased with the results. He is a very personable professional and I would recommend him without hesitation."

"Dan was responsive and called me back quickly when I first contacted which was great as all too often you never hear back from leaving messages.. He was friendly and professional throughout and worked very hard finishing ahead of schedule. He arrived on time both mornings. Dan provided helpful advice regarding adding door hooks etc and how to finish/varnish the doors myself. He vacuumed as he went along and was very tidy indeed. I would not hesitate to recommend him as a trustworthy and friendly tradesman to have working in your home and will use him again next time we need carpentry expertise."

I had some internal doors replaced, four were standard internal doors and three were double glazed uPVC replacement doors which lead on to a conservatory extension. The work was, therefore, done in two phases.

"Dan was very prompt to visit to inspect the job I wanted doing and to give me a quote. I was kept clearly informed about timescales and Dan arrived very early on the days he worked so that I could leave for work on time. I left him with a front door key with no problems.
The finish to the completed work is to a very high standard and has attracted mamy appreciative comments. There was minimal mess,mainly cleared away by Dan and I have no complaints. The uPVC doors required inspection by Building Control, a process through which Dan was happy to advise me. The Building Inspector reviewed them very quickly and was pleased with the standard of work.I would recommend this company highly."

"I have used Dan and his business on a number of occasions in the past so when it came to choosing a company to install my new kitchen there was only one choice.
Everything has been completed to the highest standard with the fit and finish being outstanding. He clears up afterwards.
He is 100% reliable and arrives on time and is a non smoker so no “fag breaks”.
He is a very nice person which makes the whole experience all the better.

No ifs or buts - 100 % recommended!

My beautiful new FITTED KITCHEN

"Mr Vickers came highly recommended by a friend of mine after he carried out several repairs and improvements to her two properties. I was able to see Mr Vickers' work for myself and was so impressed that I delayed my kitchen installation until he was available.
The accuracy and patience with which he works ensured a superb finish to my new kitchen.
The kitchen manufacturer supplied the splashback that matches the worktop in almost the exact length required, leaving no room for error. In order to ensure a successful outcome, Mr Vickers did a dummy run with a length of hardboard to check his measurements were correct. They were.
Aside from the quality of his work, Mr Vickers is tidy and removes all dust and shavings as he works.
He is a well-presented and personable man who is polite and pleasant to have working in your home.
