Assessment for and Installation of Solar Panel System, including battery.

"UBS Solar have done a great job, taking us from quote to handover of the Solar Panel System. We are now happily making use of the sun's rays for the majority of our electric.
As part of a number of upgrades we have done to our bungalow, solar panels were something we weren't sure about. Speaking to Phil I was impressed at his knowledge and for a sales-person he was not at all pushy - having had quotes from other companies for solar, I was messaged day and night. Once UBS' quote was received we were given plenty of time to assess and see where it fitted in with our budget. We went ahead, and were handed over to Nick in Operations. We discussed at length the other works being done and the timescales for when the solar could be fitted in. Nearer to the installation date I had a video conference with the electrician - Lee, to run through the layout and how cabling would pass through the building. This allowed us to be well prepared for all the works that were done.
We held out for a certain type of solar panel - all black - as we were putting a lot of thought into the exterior look of the property. Nick managed to supply the black panels for the job, but had to secure them quite ahead of the installation, in case the stock went short again. Storing them on site was not an issue so we went ahead. All deliveries of panels, rails and fittings, and contractor attendance were well notified by Nick, no-one and nothing turned up by surprise.
Both the electrician Lee and the Roofer Ryan were very professional, and really had great attention to detail.
The installation went well, the handover was very professionally put together in a pack, and we now have a feed in tariff with our energy supplier. We have a great app on our phones where we can see exactly what is happening - topping battery/feeding grid, and I think this visibility is adding to our re-assurance that we've made the right decision. The whole team at UBS have put together a great end-to-end method to deliver customers the benefits of solar, from the quote to the handover.

The were 2 installation teams, consisting of skilled Solar Panel installers and electricians. Both teams carried out their respective physical installations of the solar panels and Inverter/Battery system. Solar panels were securely mounted on the roof and then the cabling and Panels proceeded that work. Wiring was installed to connect the panels to the inverter and electrical systems. Meanwhile the inverter, battery and all other sundries were carefully being installed into their pre-agreed locations. The system underwent comprehensive testing to ensure all components were functioning correctly. Any issues were addressed and resolved during that phase. The final step was the guys walking me through the app to ensure that I understood how the system could be monitored and adjusted through it.
