Customer Review

The contractor installed external wall insulation at my 3 bed semi-detached property within the north-west. The services received were poor and the contractor even charged me for works he did not do - very fraudulent.

"My single advise would be not to employ this company.

Under the Green Homes Grant, the contractor agreed a price via a remote survey but when he turned up, following setting up of scaffold, he changed his stance and said that he only priced for two and a half walls despite it being a standard 3 bed (3 walls) semi-detached house. The contractor probably saw i removed my existing render and had exposed brickwork with winter approaching and demanded extra money (initially 3 k). Due to my concern of having exposed brickwork and with winter approaching, I agreed to pay an extra £1.5k. The contractor agreed to do the job. I asked the contractor to give me white paint, he told me your getting grey. I later realised the contractor did not extend the flue as he quoted and charged for.

I have filed a complaint with NICEIC who have documented that the contractor has charged me for works not undertaken. NICEIC (scheme provider) have simply confirmed that they do have the power to make the company pay but may sanction the company pending review.

Save yourself the headache, do not employ this company to do anything.
