Installation of surge protection to house and garage and replacement of failed EV charger (previously installed by another company) with new model, alongside correction of errors in electrical system created by previous installation

"Carl was excellent from start to finish on this project. He came promptly for an on site inspection when contacted and gave excellent, clear and well-explained advice about what work was needed and any options to be decided on. He did not push work unnecessarily and informed thoroughly about both benefits and costs of any options for us to decide on. He worked with us to finalise the work plan and was unfailingly polite, helpful and efficient whilst we selected products and defined the scope of the work to be done. The quote he provided was detailed and well explained and was given in a way that inspired confidence and was easy for us to engage with. It also proved to be accurate and there were no unexpected costs or deviations. It was really easy to work with him over defining what work needed doing, accepting his quote and agreeing exactly when the work would be done.

Carl did the work on the day agreed and turned up promptly and worked very hard all day. He made no unnecessary mess whilst working, cleaned up thoroughly after he had finished and left the places where he had been working clean and tidy. His work was also meticulously conducted with a real attention to detail and the highest standards I have seen. His approach was clearly methodical, precise, careful and very professional. I have no reason to be anything other than completely confident in the quality of his work.

On finishing he gave comprehensive information about the new charger and system and helped set it up as we want to operate it. He also made sure we were completely happy and answered any and all questions we had with complete clarity. He was patient and engaged fully with anything we asked - offering excellent advice. He made clear his commitment to stand by the quality of his work and address any future concerns appropriately. I was left with complete confidence over the work, his guarantee over what he had done, and the ability to seek help if needed over any future issues or problems if they were to occur.

Carl also then submitted his invoice promptly and again made it easy and quick to complete any administration and payment. He took a lot of trouble to ensure that we received all certificates and documentation swiftly and took particular pains to ensure that we had all we needed to make sure our guarantees were in place. I should also say that he worked very hard on the day and wasted no time at all. He therefore completed the work a little faster than planned and this saving was reflected in the final invoice, where his work rate brought the invoice in slightly under the expected total due to a reduction in labour costs.

I was hugely impressed with how Carl approached each and every aspect of this work from communication and administration through to financial aspects and guarantees. His support with the new product was exemplary and to my eye the quality and precision of his work must be second to none. I enjoyed him doing this work for us and would recommend him without any hesitation. I would also use him again for any other work as my first choice."

"Moving house and wanted various sockets changing but Carl found various dodgy old wiring which he took photos and sent us. He explained what was a real safety concern and what was safe but simply untidy workmanship by previous electricians/DIY handymen. He gave us the options to fix and gave us a good quote, The extra work was a couple more days work but he managed to fit it in very quickly. Clearly a very professional electrician who keeps up to date with the ever changing electrical regulations. He left the place tidy afterwards and the final bill was a pleasant surprise. Will be using him again for all our electrical work and would happily recommend him to anyone. 100% honest reliable tradesman.Most importantly - we are now reassured the house is electrically safe."

Electrical installation condition report, replacement of consumer unit to current specifications, installation of EV chargepoint and provision of an outdoor double gang socket outlet.

"Carl from CF Electrical was thorough and explained the deficiencies with our old consumer unit and a couple of defects in our house wiring. He was at pains to show us what he found giving us confidence that these were genuine areas that needed correction.
Defects were remedied and an up-to-date consumer unit fitted. All work carried out was extremely neat and tidy and Carl definitely takes pride in his execution.
Also fitted was an EV Chargepoint in readiness for an electric car that we have on order. Carl went through the set-up of the smartphone app and made sure we understood how to control the Hypervolt charger.
We received a fully detailed quotation prior to agreeing the job and the final invoice came in at a usefully lower figure as he completed to job in less hours and charged accordingly.
Carl was friendly, polite and a pleasure to have in our house. He was always ready to explain any aspect of what he was doing. He cleared away all rubbish and left everything clean and tidy."

Hope Village Hall, Hope, Shropshire has been using Carl of CCF Electrics for about 6 months after a recommendation from a local resident following the unfortunate demise of our long-term local electrician. Initially we asked Carl to test our various portable appliances (PAT), then later he installed a defibrillator cabinet on an external wall and this week he has replaced all of the Hall’s flourescent battens with 10 new LED units.

"On the installation jobs Carl provides options based on products, their efficiency and their cost and is very cost-conscious, which is particularly important to us as a charitable organisation because that is exactly what we need. His own charges are very reasonable and he works efficiently to complete the task.

Carl has been attentive to our needs, providing answers to all questions and in offering advice. His efficiency stretches to all aspects of his work, from attending for quotations; always being on time for appointments; in conducting the work and submitting written quotations and invoicing.

Installing a Hypervolt Ev charger using a charger.

"I had used Carl on a previous occasion to fit a Hypervolt Ev charger at my old address and was impressed with his work then. When I moved we took the charger to the new address and didn't hesitate to ask Carl to fit it.

Just as before Carl provided all the information needed and explained what work he planned to carryout. On the day he arrived early, fitted the charger, tested it and made sure the site was clean and tidy before he left.

The same day he provided all of the certification needed together with the guarantee information, should we need it.
