A bungalow built in 1979 in need of modernisation but with good sizeable grounds

"Overall a poor service was provided. The property we purchased had work done to it without planning permission and building regs. They took it on themselves to go to the local authority to ask whether these permissions were granted, thus an indemnity policy could not be taken out as the authority had been notified. This almost led to the sale falling through. Our solicitor commented that this was basic and they should have known. The communication was poor and we seemed to be doing the chasing to find out what was going on. The letter from John Francis which came with his letter shows this “as a recent client or customer of our Lampeter Branch” We bought through the Carmarthen branch."
