"We had never had dealings with Dickinson & Bowden before this purchase and when we first met Joel at the viewing we were impressed with his organisation and diligence regarding Covid preparation.

Joel was knowledgeable about what could be done to develop the property to suit current tastes and discussed a number of helpful options . When we knew the house would go to sealed bids, Joel was clear and precise as to how it would work; we felt confident that this method would be fair and well managed.

After we were successful in our bid Joel liaised with the sellers for us and also enabled us to have subsequent viewings for our family , who had not been able to view the property with us because of Covid.

Our house sale went through with many of the ‘usual ups and downs’ that occur through house buying and at all times communication with the team at Dickinson & Bowden were helpful, calm, efficient and courteous . We would not hesitate in recommending the company to our friends and to use them ourselves."

"I had only a very brief opportunity to view the property on a visit to Dorchester late on a Saturday morning mid December. I, with my daughter and son in law, was met there by Mr Joel Cremen. He gave us a full opportunity to inspect the property, answering my queries and did not rush me at all. When we finished he suggested that I think it over the weekend which I did and I rang him the following Monday morning to confirm that I did wish to buy the property at the asking price. He asked the usual questions about my personal circumstances. He said that he would report my offer to his clients and later rang to say my offer was accepted. He followed up a little later with an email confirmation.
I kept in touch with Mr Cremen as the purchase proceeded to contract and then completion.
Throughout he was always prompt in dealing with any queries and helpful.
During my professional career I dealt with Estate Agents and I do rate Mr Cremen (and thus Bowdens) very highly. Prompt, helpful always and easy to talk to. All essential to a buyer who is not local.

The things that stood out for us were his excellent communication skills, proactive approach and pleasant manner. We were never in doubt about what was happening, he kept us informed at all stages by phone and email. He always seemed ahead of the curve - seeking answers and solutions when necessary, progressing to a successful sale. We were selling at a very difficult time, in the middle of Covid 19, but all rules were observed and great care was taken.

"We have recently exchanged contracts on the purchase of a property that has been on Dickinson-Bowden's books for some time. We were completely taken with the house from the very first viewing, but it has to be said that, were it not for the unflinching support of Joel and his team, we would probably have given up some time ago for a variety of reasons.
Throughout recent months, we have constantly had to remind ourselves that we were not Joel's clients, but mere buyers. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty time and time again, maintaining lines of communication, providing morale-boosting support and practical advice gleaned from his years of experience. All this without compromising his professional integrity and his obligations to his client.
At times when it looked like the purchase might fall through, Joel seemed always to be available, answering e-mails promptly and professionaly and phoning us whenever he felt urgent action was required.
