"Having accepted our offer we were asked to provide evidence to the estate agent that we had the necessary funds as cash purchasers. No definitive guidance was provided on what evidence would be acceptable for this purpose, which was a cause of concern for us. We had never been required to provide evidence of this type previously, and we therefore feel that clear guidance should be provided when such evidence is requested. In the event a simple phone call from our solicitor resolved this issue."
