"The Estate Agent was always available to contact and professional in their manner with both viewings and our enquiries. We did, however, feel we'd have liked much more proactive and regular communication from them to us over progress and status of sale. We felt we were having to chase for information about progress of offers and post-acceptance of offer, for buyers status. There was one point we were worried buyers were at risk of pulling out as didn't have update on their mortgage status. We understand much of this sits with solicitors, but would be good to have a regular call with any information or updates that the agent has as they liaise with buyers on our behalf.

Also, would have been good to receive a letter or email in post confirming all arrangements agreed with our buyers e.g., accepted offer confirmation and agreement to purchase furniture as extra etc. We never received this in writing.

Generally happy though. A very thorough market assessment presented initially and well sold with competitive fee structure. Good to have a local agent who is flexible as to how they work with you and always available via phone.

"Despite challenges from the chain Stratfords remained supportive throughout. We were the buyers so they could have been much less accommodating but in fact were more support that our own estate agent for our sale. A more positive and constructive approach than other agents in the chain. Actually saw that it was part of their role to ensure the sale completed, again unlike other agents in the chain who felt that their job was done once the offer was accepted."

"My boyfriend and I bought our first home together through stratfords. Tom and his team communicated with us almost daily on the purchase and went above and beyond their roles and responsibilities to move things along when things slowed down at any point. (It took almost five months from the day we made our offer until we completed.)

We're now living in the house we always dreamed of owning and that in part is due to the dedication, reliability and perseverance of Tom.

I cannot recommend stratfords enough for house purchases - I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in future.
