"Farmer & Dyer are simply the most helpful and professional letting agent I have ever encountered in the UK, either as a landlady or a tenant (in this case, I was the tenant).

They were responsive to any concerns and, I could tell by the time taken to resolve them, they were obviously quick to communicate to my landlord and find solutions. They carried out all the 3 monthly checks on schedule (excluding Covid restriction time) and were quick and discreet about it, so it was not intrusive. They contacted me when the tenancy contract needed review or when a gas safety check etc. was needed in plenty of time. The contractors they sent around were always very professional. They also helped as an inbetween between me and the companies that managed the block of flats (no less than 3 in 2 years) and followed up. The team were always professional and helpful and, if one of them was out, they made sure someone else would follow up.

Considering that the letting agent is basically the representative of the landlord, as a tenant I felt respected and considered also"

"Superb service as always from the team at Farmer & Dyer and in particular, Nadine lles who worked tirelessly in pursuit of a finding suitable tenants during a very challenging time of CV-19.
Everything was suddenly thrown into the air as CV-19 struck & lock-down came in, which made the normally simple operation of managing leaving tenants and finding suitable new tenants so much more difficult. Nadine and her team were amazing and ploughed on regardless of their own personal circumstances and remained professional and incredibly efficient, never leaving me wondering what was happening.
A true credit to Farmer & Dyer and an exemplarily estate agent that are setting very high standards for other estate agents to follow.
In my opinion, Farmer and Dyer are the only Estate and Lettings Agents to use in Caversham and surrounding area's."

"Staff were friendly & helpful & replied promptly to my emails/calls

In general, it would have been really helpful if staff had understood more that when a family moves house to a new area, they really need the tenancy agreement signed ASAP by all parties, as you canít apply for a school place until you have this. My children will be out of school for almost a month as it is, as the LEA are slow. So any further delay has a big effect on stress levels.

I did get my tenancy agreement expedited by staff signing on the landlordís behalf. Thank you for this.

Staff kept in touch well, and called with helpful info as soon as they had it, especially regarding properties becoming available before they showed up on RightMove etc."

"We visited the Agent (Louise) one afternoon and she kindly suggested different properties according to our needs. We arranged a viewing for the next day and we meet in the premises. As we were new in the area she gave us a ride back into town after the viewing which was very nice of her. She explained about how to hold the property and the monies that should be paid to start the process of renting the place.
She help us in each step of the referencing process and guide us through what to do to speed up the procedure. Louise know we were staying in an AIRbnb House and talked to the owner of the property to arrange the deep cleaning and last touches of the property to be ready to move in. We are a family of three, and the agency helped us to settle in the area successfully in less than 2 weeks. I am glad I decided to come in the agency that morning and that we find a place to leave that matched our needs.
