"Farmer and Dyer were helpful, professional and knowledgeable. They helped us market and sell our house very quickly and helped us secure the house we were very keen to buy keeping all parties happy and informed along the way despite a quite lengthy period due to waiting for probate on the house were buying at the top of the chain.
Their photos and advice on presenting our property were spot on and no doubt helped us to sell our house quickly.

Four bedroom detached house North of Reading with a double garage and en-suite bathroom. Within about 15 minutes walk to Reading mainline station and close to Caversham town centre.

"I'd used F & D to rent out my property for about a year before deciding to sell it through them, so they knew the house and area well. I couldn't accept their standard sale terms and conditions but one of the owners agreed my proposal to amend them without any fuss. Essentially I didn't want to pay two agents if I needed to change agents.

I dealt mainly with George Hodder but also with Alex, and both acted very professionally and took my comments and wishes into account. The sale took about four months from agreeing the sale price to completion, but this was partly because I was in no hurry and was receiving monthly rent, my buyers had to find replacement buyers at one stage, and they wouldn't exchange until my tenants had vacated the property - I understand this is usual.

So I'd recommend F & D to my neighbours and friends and thank them for a job well done. I judge that my sale was very ordinary, so am unable to give them the top mark, as they only needed to do a fairly standard job.

"We originally wanted to sell our house in September 2018 through F&D, but due to a chance in our circumstances we decided to postpone the marketing of our property. F&D were very understanding and accommodating at this time, and we said we would always come back to them should we wish to try to sell our house again. In mid-2019 we were ready to sell and F&D picked up where they left off without any issues. Professional and friendly throughout the marketing/sales process at all times. We felt they were honest and open with us, and after we had accepted an offer, F&D were very helpful with providing advice and recommending tradesmen to help us with minor repairs and servicing needed for the Buyer."

A detached house in Caversham, Reading. The property is approximately 70 years old and is located less than 1 mile from Caversham. It has good access to the centre of Reading and local routes into and out of Caversham and Reading. The property has 4 bedrooms and 2 reception rooms. It was in need of some updating but nothing that required immediate attention. The property has a reasonably good-sized back garden and a garage as well as driveway parking.

"I have used Farmer & Dyer previously and was happy with the services they provided, hence my decision to use them again for this sale. Due to personal circumstances, it was important for me to have a high degree of confidence that buyers could be found and were able to proceed, at a price that was acceptable.

Owing to the current market conditions, there were not as many offers received on the property as I would have expected but I was happy and relieved that a suitable offer was made and that completion of the sale took place.

I am confident that Farmer & Dyer did all that they could to secure the sale of the property and that they dealt with a number of issues arising promptly and within budget.

If purchasing and/or selling in the Caversham area, I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm to potential clients. I will probably make use of their services in the future."
