From the get go the team were efficient, pleasant to deal with, highly responsive - just professional and knowledgeable through and through. They were proactive in flagging things to us early, took the time to listen to our views and answer our questions, and very much adopted the stance of team working with us. Their experience and knowledge of the local area and market was highly impressive. Selling a house is always a nerve wrecking process for so many reasons, but we really felt Farmer & Dyer understood that and went out of their way to make it as stress-free and smooth as possible. They were reassuring and patient with our many questions. Their advice was delivered with experience and yet they always took care to work with us rather than just 'tell' us what was going to happen. "We first met with Tom at the property we were selling. He looked around the house, then discussed appropriate prices to market at, and the price suggested matched our expectation. He then took photos and wrote up a contract, which he then explained to us.
Within a couple of days, we were sent draft particulars for our approval, following which the house was promptly put on the market.
Over the next few weeks, we had a number of requests for viewings. Each time we were contacted to confirm that the viewing time as convenient for us, and then the agents conducted the viewings as agreed. They were very willing to work with our time constraints, which was much appreciated.
We received feedback on every viewing. This was really useful, even when the people viewing were not making an offer.
When an offer was made, the agents were realistic and were very open with both us and the potential buyers, and we were kept updated during the back-and-forth negotiations.
Once the offer was accepted, they were quick to engage all the relevant parties (such as solicitors).
There were a number of queries passed on from our buyer, and also when we had issues, the agents were quick to contact the buyer and also keep us updated. They periodically checked in with us even during the times when nothing was really happening. This was really reassuring as it demonstrated they were not simply waiting around for things to happen, but were checking in with all parties periodically to find the status of the sale (and indeed entire chain).
When we needed to get in touch with someone at the firm, if they were unavailable for any reason, steps were in place to ensure that there were no hold-ups as a result.
Overall, I would describe the service as thoroughly professional, pragmatic, polite and efficient.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I know that knowing how to improve is just as, if not more useful than positive comments, however I honestly cannot think of anything Farmer and Dyer could have done better."

"Farmer and Dyer were professional and efficient throughout the whole process of selling our property. We invited three agents to give us a market appraisal and Tom Dyer proved to be the most enthusiastic and straight forward of them all. His local knowledge and assessment of value and timing proved to be realistic and helpful.

From there George and Damian provided a slick and flexible week of accompanied viewings culminating in best and final offers being invited from five different buyers. We were given full information about all of them so we were able to make a considered decision on which buyer to choose.

The process was then handled well and the sale progressed smoothly. When there was a problem involving our buyer’s chain we were kept fully informed and the issue was resolved satisfactorily.

I highly recommend Farmer and Dyer. They are a joy to deal with and make what is potentially a stressful process into a very pleasant experience.

"I put the property in the market last September 2020 Farmer & Dyer got it on the market quickly and arranged for a lot of people to view the property. I had an offer within 8 days.
Unfortunately (through nobodies fault) in early December my purchasers weren’t able to proceed due to job loss caused by COVID. Farmer & Dyer had my house back on the market within 30 minutes of hearing this. Again they got a number of viewings and quickly manage to secure another offer which went to completion. "Thank you very much for all that Farmer and Dyer have done during the sale of my late mother’s property. This was a family home that had been lived in by all of us and owned for 54 years. It was sad to have to finally sell but all at Farmer and Dyer acted sympathetically and professionally throughout. They were knowledgeable and realistic during the valuation and communicated with us throughout the sales process, advising when was the best time to reduce the value to sell the property.
Tom and Damian were extremely helpful and stayed in contact with us throughout the whole process and were pro-active in marketing the property and ensuring that there were viewings.
Alex and George were brilliant at communicating with us and informing us when viewings were taking place. A particular thanks should go to Alex who represented us in an extremely professional manner when the buyers cheekily asked for a £15k reduction in their offer 2 days before exchange.
The sale process was a little slow, but probably due to the pressure on solicitors during the pandemic but Alex and George were able to communicate with our solicitors to ensure that we were able to exchange before Christmas and especially when we put pressure on!
We would recommend Farmer and Dyer and will hopefully use them in the future when we sell our own house."

"I selected this agency as I had previous knowledge, they liked the property I was selling, showed really good knowledge of the area and had a genuine and friendly approach. I did consider one other agency.

Throughout the process they kept me informed and dealt with any queries promptly. The whole process became very protracted as the mortgage process was very slow due to Covid. Their advice during this period was professional and measured.
