We are disappointed to receive such a low score on this occasion, and take on board the criticism. All our clients are advised of our membership of The Ombudsman Scheme in our initial correspondence. We continually advise our customers about our other services, which include conveyancing services and mortgage services, but in this instance neither of the two joint owners used these services, nor did the purchaser. All offers are submitted in writing, which is obviously a legal requirement and we have email proof that this was done in this instance to both joint owners. It is our normal practice to remove properties from the open market when sales are agreed and both vendor and purchaser are in complete, proceedable chains. We advise all parties on our sales memoranda, at the point of sale that this will happen, usually for a period of 28 days, when we will review the progress made, and we reserve the right to re market if satisfactory progress has not been made. We will ensure that this is understood going forward.

We would also like to add that the other joint owner and the purchaser responded to our customer service questionaires, and rated our service as "excellent" and "good", and would recommend us to family and friends.
