Supplied smoke alarms and heat alarms for my house that are interlinked and also supplied home fire safety kit - a small foam fire extinguisher and a fire blanket as well.

"Used the company to source interlinked smoke and heat alarms for our home and at the same time spoke about home fire safety. Ryan & Liam on behalf of Boyd-Group came to Kelso Men''s Shed (KMS) for the first time to service the nine fire extinguishers we have on our premises of ground and first floor.

"Ryan rang to inform us that they had been delayed and would be with us in 30mins time. We were happy to acknowledge their difficulty especially when they had set off from Dumfries & Galloway at 6am that day, to ensure they arrived at their first job in a timely manner.

Two friendly chaps, who worked diligently and were both happy to explain what they were doing when cleaning, examining and checking over each fire extinguisher.

For ease of use for the next annual inspection they labelled each one and advised of the importance of fire safety in our workshop and Shed generally.

Preferring to continue with their onward journey to their next job, they were happy to decline a cuppa. We would have no hesitation in suggesting anyone using this company and their services as we were delighted with them. They also took with them their own rubbish, leaving our Shed's fire extinguishers clearly labelled and clean."

Boyd Group provide C & G Confined Spaces (Medium Risk) training courses for us regularly. Our contact Allana is attentive and always provides quick responses to our requests regarding availability of dates and quotes.

"We contact Allana via E-Mail when we wish to schedule a course - normally C & G Confined Spaces (Medium Risk) held in an approved training facility in Carlisle where we have a Confined Space simulator. This type of training is delivered on a regular basis (1 -2 per month) at present. Allana provides available dates and quotes. We choose preferred dates and confirm and Allana books them via their training course booking form. We check, authorise and return the completed form to confirm our bookings. Sometimes our requests are urgent and they are always accommodating.

The number of delegates is confirmed to Allana before the course (max 10) and the course is delivered. Paperwork is sent to the training facility in Carlisle prior to the course date.

Occasionally and unfortunately we have had to cancel due to viability and nothing is too much trouble for Allana who quickly cancels them for us.

The training and assessing is delivered to a very high standard by the approved provider and our learners always provide valuable positive feedback after the training. We would have no hesitation in choosing them for High Risk, Confined Spaces 1 day re-assessment etc.as and when required.

"We approached the Boyd Group to provide manual handling training at our base in Dumfries and Stranraer. They were able to provide a few dates so that we could choose the best option for us. The admin. team were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The trainer arrived on time and was very professional in his delivery.
